I've used Formosa for two different jobs at my house. Once was on an hourly basis, to troubleshoot and fix an issue I was having with outlet wiring, and another at a fixed price for a specific job (installing a ceiling light junction box). In both cases I was happy with the pricing and the work they did. For the ceiling light job, I think the work ended up being more complicated then they initially expected but they still charged their quoted priced. Will go back to them if I have any more issues.

I worked with Formosa electric on replacing my old subpanel, kitchen re-wiring, and upgrading of my main panel. Their quote was competitive and they provided really good service. They worked in a 3-person group and did a great job in all those works. They were very responsive to my messages and phone calls, and were very adaptive to my schedule as well. They arrived on time and finished the work in 2 days as they promised, and kept the site clean after the work was done. They also gave patient explanation when I had questions. The business owner even offered to help me install my address sign light in his off hours. I was out of town on vacation when my renter called to report an electrical problem. This has been an ongoing problem over the last month when we thought it was just a simple resetting of the breakers. This call could not have been more poorly planned because we were not in town and we just didn't feel comfortable waiting until we are back in town. After reading a few Yelp reviews and requested a few electricians to call me back, I got a hold of Roger from Formosa Electric. We described the problem to Roger and he thought the issue was weird. Then he asked that we send some photos of the sub and main panels for him. One look of our photos, he knew what the issue was. Keep in mind, this was all done remote.

He quoted us a price and was very reasonable because we did do our homework as well. We approved the cost and off he went. He coordinated with the City inspector, PG&E and the tenant and the issue was resolved in 2 weeks. WOW. He made this process so painless and I couldn't be happier. I would use Roger again and I'd recommend him to anyone I know.
