Luis showed up today. He did check my solar inverter and then Informed me that it would have to be replaced. I thankfully was informed by another company that since my solar was less than 5 years it should be under warranty. Luis told us they only have a year warranty. I was informed that he could have open a case with the manufacturer to replace the unit. Luis informed me since his company didn't install he couldn't do this. He charged me $295 just to start the system and turn it off. He said the inverter needed to be replaced and it would be $6,500. This company just wants to make money. I wouldn't recommend them.

Amazing service. The electricity in our house was off for a couple days, we tried with other companies but they were no help!!! I am a commercial potter from the Arizona. I came to the L.A. area to spend time with my 99-year-old mother. I set up a studio in her garage. Fondas Electric ran the wiring for my kilns from the electrical box to the garage. They did great work and revisited, at no charge, when I had breaker problem. Luis Ramirez, the crew chief, was a complete professional; a decent man. I would have no problem hiring Fondas Electric again is a need arises. Good job. Thanks.

Luis Ramirez is the best! He and his team replaced my electric panel. Luis clearly explained what needed to be done and why. He and his team were prompt, thorough, polite and most importantly on time. The price was reasonable. When they were finished they cleaned up and as Luis promised left no traces of having been here except for the new panel. They also replaced a light switch for free in my bathroom ! Luis goes above and beyond for his customers. While I was very pleased with their work, a more recent incident is what prompted me to write this review.
My smoke detector which is hard wired was beeping and continued to beep after replacing the battery. I called Luis for advice. He told me what to do but it still kept beeping. I called him again and he told me to remove all my detectors and the batteries because it was probably another detector. This didn't work either. He kept asking if I had any other detectors including a carbon monoxide detector. I insisted we didn't. He had a very busy schedule but wanted to help me out so he offered to come BEFORE work to see what was going on. I must have called him five times and each time he was kind , patient and really wanted to help. In fact he told me each time to call him back if I couldn't get it to stop. Well finally I remembered I had one person more carbon monoxide detector which was buried on a bookcase near the offending smoke detector. It had fallen off the wall and I completely forgot it was there. It was beeping its little heart out! I Immediately called Luis and we had a good laugh. Having a responsive electrician is so important. I have 100% confidence in Luis and recommend him and his team wholeheartedly.

Walked into work to realize my computer, printer, and credit card machine were not working. Since time is money I immediately called some electrician and luckily Luis from Fonda's was able to make it out to us....he even came earlier then the time frame given which is always a plus!
Luis was very thorough and professional and got the job done fast so we could continue working!
I definitely recommend them for electrical work!

Looks like I had lucked out this morning! I was able to snag a 9-11 am appointment. Luis came, was there at 10 40, given the call was placed at 9 20 a.m. He was really nice, and had to change an outlet, which, as it turns out, probably blew my garage door opener....pretty reasonably priced as well. Have used then before, thru Economic Plumbing. Boy was I lucky that day! Thank you, Luis!

I called Dave Blair Plumbing after a fuse went out in my apartment, turning off my fridge and freezer in 95 degree heat on LABOR DAY. I couldn't believe it. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and understanding and called me back within 5 minutes saying that a technician from their partner company, Fondas Electric would be here within an hour. I couldn't believe someone would be here that fast! He arrived in 30 minutes, even better! He fixed the problem, was very nice about coming on a holiday, he wore a mask and was respectful of my space during Covid (which i was very worried about) and even offered to clean up the small mess the work made on the floor. Which of course i said i would take care of it but how kind is that? I will recommend Dave Blair Plumbing, Fondas Electric and specifically the technician, Luis that came out to anyone and they are definitely saved in my phone now as my go to electricians / plumbers. Thanks, y'all!

I called them on August 14, 2020, unaware of the blackouts in my area, and they informed me that the minimum balance for them to come out is $49.50. 3 1/2 hours later Luis arrives at my home and he tells me that I am going to have to pay $120 minimum for each hour. Luis examined my power box and told me that I had 3 options: 1). Temporarily turning the power back on with the chances of it kicking again 2). Replacing the main breaker for a used one he had in his truck for $800 3). Replacing the entire power panel for $4,200. Luis insisted on changing my power panel and made sure that he told me that my panel was unsafe and that I should change it out ASAP. Luckily, I turned him down and paid him $120 for the 30 minutes that he was here. Edison comes later to inspect the same box that Luis inspected and they told me that he was trying to scam me and that nothing was wrong with the box. Edison said ""Please Do Not Call That Company Back Out Here, Call Edison First."" Also the $800 Luis was going to charge me to replace the breaker, Edison said they would replace for free. I repeat do not do business with them because they are solely here to take as much money out of your pocket as possible. I will never call them for help ever again and I advise you to do the same.

The boss showed up within an hour of our first call and diagnosed the problem, gave us a reasonable quote, and scheduled a 2 hour window for the repairs the next day. The electricians showed up exactly as scheduled, and did the work expertly, although with a little call in help from the office. The bill was exactly as quoted. The work was all outdoors and they all wore masks when they needed to be anywhere within 10 feet of us. I don't usually give reviews, but in this case I was very impressed and feel they should be acknowledged. I definitely will hire Fondas Electric again for our next electrical project.
