I called Foley and spoke with the receptionist who took my name and number because she had others on the line. She told me she would promptly return my call but I didn't hear back. That was 9 days ago. Instead I went with Bayshore Electric, they were awesome!

We recently contracted with Foley Electric to change the service wires at my mother's house. Owner John Phillpott is very knowledgeable in his field. and a pleasure to work with. John facilitated obtaining the permits, coordinating with PG&E, and meeting with the city building inspector. John, and his two staff people, Matt and Dan, were courteous and reliable, and kept all appointments as scheduled. Foley Electric earned a five star rating from the beginning to the end of our job. We would not hesitate to recommend Foley Electric to others, or to use them again in the future.

Reserving one star until we receive the invoice but based on the experience we had with Joe and Eric today they deserve the fifth. They arrived promptly at 8:15 as scheduled and dove into our list of tasks. We were impressed that they didn't try to upsell us but were very honest about the issues, a couple of them being as simple as faulty lightbulbs. Joe also offered suggestions for future work. The lighting fixtures they installed look even better than we imagined and now we have peace of mind for some of put other electrical problems.

No stars for me at all, if Yelp would allow me. I called them because the company was working in my street on a neighbor's house. Somebody came (he must have been in my street because it was 10 minutes after I called), I explained my problem and how I was trying to solve it. Answer from them: that's all you can do, keep doing that. The electrician visiting checked a few outlets to see if there was a current going. Well, no, already knew that! There was no intention of trying to found out the cause of the problem, he was gone within 1/2 hour and I got charged $135. Problem re-occurred several times before I got another electrician out who did get the cause fixed. I've called Foley Electric to discuss the fee they charged. Called three times over the last 4 weeks. Always get the promise they'll call me back. I'm still waiting : (

I've had them do 3 projects on my house and each time was to my satisfaction. Most recently had 2 outlets and an overhead light replaced. He took the time to troubleshoot the living room outlet problem and found a melted plastic housing over a wire in the kitchen outlet that was on the same circuit. He fixed that and then the outlet. Excellent service and professional.

I needed someone to fix several broken outlets, install a new outlet, and modify the transfer panel for a generator -- about a day of work. The first electrician I contacted never responded once he found out what the work was. Foley was very professional and responsive by email.

GREAT company. Found them here on Yelp. I had a small job at my aunt's house (I called long distance). They called me right back, scheduled for the next week at my request, called to confirm a day before. Also called an hour before to let me know they were on the way to the house, which was great, as I was at the hospital with auntie at the time. On time, quickly and correctly done. AND a followup call to make sure everything was cool.

Like another reviewer said, I'd give them ten stars if I could.

I called Foley Electric based on these reviews on yelp - and they were quick to respond. I was impressed by how polite they were and in particular how they helped to find a less expensive solution on hardware that we needed to buy. They also were flexible on times to come and we worked together to find the right day as my schedule was complicated and they are very busy. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.
