Flying Dutchman Electric
Company Overview
Cutting corners is seldom wise, especially when it comes to electrical work. If you encounter a problem with anything electrical, you should turn to a professional electrician. Not doing so might result in long-term regret.
Faulty wiring poses a significant fire hazard. If that doesn’t convince you to hire a professional electrician for your residential and commercial needs, we’re not sure what will. Perhaps it’s not as straightforward as it seems. The functionality of lights relies on a comprehensive, interdependent system. Circuits that look safe but are inadequately designed can jeopardize appliance motors and electronic devices by providing improper amperage. If this information is new to you, it’s time to stop whatever you’re doing and contact Flying Dutchman Electric.
Flying Dutchman Electric is a comprehensive electrical contracting firm that has been dedicated to serving both residential and commercial clients in the area for years. While our skills and workmanship are top-notch, our dedication to customer satisfaction is even greater. We strive to be the best electrical company for both residential and commercial needs in the region, but also to be known for our dependable and efficient service.

Totally pleased with the installation of my Tesla wall charger by John. Quality work and reasonably priced. Will be calling John back for additional work in the future.

John was great. Showed up on-time and fixed the issue. He charged what his quote stated. I would hire The Flying Dutchman again!

I was in need of a electrician and I found John the "" Flying Dutchman "" on Yelp ,,
He immediately responded and answered my questions regarding smoke detectors,, he even educated me on several areas about smoke detectors that I had no idea about,,
My situation was a bit odd , one of my smoke detectors was chirping after I replaced the battery ,
I have 7 smoke alarms in the house and couldn't figure out which one it was,
John arrived and discovered it was my carbon monoxide detector that was chirping lol,
Needless to say I felt like an idiot,
Turns out that one of my smoke alarms needed to by replaced and John replaced it,
Thanks again for your help and being very professional,
I highly recommend John for any electrical issues.

I located him as he is only 3 miles away and he still charged us $200 for install a breaker and take out the burned breaker.

John gave me an estimate by phone, which most others refused to. He was available the next day, and did quality work at a reasonable price and courteously.

I inquired with John about installing a Tesla charger a few days after I ordered the car and the charger. He texted back within 15 minutes with an estimate. I contacted him again after I got the car and the charger, and he showed up the next morning and did an excellent job on it. He charged exactly what he quoted. I would recommend John to anyone who needs electrical works!

John is awesome! He installed a 220 disconnect box for my DYI Pioneer ductless minsplit AC. His work was very clean and organized. He was very knowledgeable of his trade and he took the time to explain to me what he was doing which was fun for me to learn. He is a good communicator and teacher with great customer service. Very affordable prices also. I highly recomend John at The Flying Dutchman

While cooking dinner my electricity went on in my kitchen. I called John and he was so kind as to come out within an hour and help me determine what went wrong. It was discovered that I had tripped the circuit by plugging in both my microwave and electric toaster oven. Never gonna do that again! Thank you John for coming to my rescue !
Definitely will call him when I have any electrical issues!

I accidentally cut a plugged in cord and all electricity in my home went out.i was terrified not only of being in the dark but the cost. One company told me $145 just to look at it. I reached out on Yelp and found John. Best decision ever!! John came bright and early the next morning and could not have been nicer or more professional!and so so reasonable on price! And when my husband forgot his wallet in the car I took with me to work, john didn't stress and gave us options to pay! Great guy who saved the day!!!

We used John before to install a doggie door and everything went fine , John is an electrician and he usually contracts out other workers to do odd jobs that are not electrical and that is where his rating goes down, the guys he hires are not reliable . On 11/02/19, we contracted John to change out our entire electrical panel to increase the voltage because the voltage we had was not strong enough to support the house. My sister had just re stuccoed the entire outside of the house. We were a bit concerned about that as John had to cut a hole in the wall outside the house where the electrical panel was and where we had just re-stuccoed the wall, John reassured us that everything would be fine that he would have his stucco guy come in and fix /re-stucco the wall when he was done. He gave us a quote minus the cost of the permits . He dragged his feet on getting the permits even though we had advised him that we were on a time frame as we had to do more work to the house and had to wait for him to complete the electrical upgrade first. A couple of days later he calls and tells me permits came out to $300 (asked for receipts, he only showed a receipt for $112.90), I told him that was all he would get unless he showed more receipts, make sure he shows you receipts for the permits he pulls. It took him several weeks to complete the electrical work , honestly, John is too old and needs to retire already , today is 1/6/2020 and we are still waiting for his stucco guy to complete the stucco repair part, he initially did the stucco repair finally after waiting several weeks, however the stucco work was not done properly , you can see on the wall where they cut out the hole to replace the electrical box. Still waiting to date for this job to be finished, we gave John a deposit, then in good faith around two weeks later gave him more money, the final payment will be when the job is completed to satisfaction, still waiting for that to happen.
