My interest in the electrical trade ignited during childhood when my father taught me the basics while we worked on an H.O. train set. This early exposure fueled my passion, prompting me to study basic electricity and electronics in high school and expand my knowledge in junior college. Upon enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, I received training as a weapons mechanic, focusing on the upkeep of electrical systems in F-4 aircraft.
Upon returning home, I continued my career at Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company, where I spent five years refining my skills. Eventually, I made the decision to start my own electrical contracting business. It was during this time that I truly began to grasp the intricacies of the trade—learning that continues to this day. I am convinced that the day I stop learning will be the day I retire or leave this world.

Fred, whom far exceeded all aspects of the above, is also the owner of FJS Electric Services, which is important as it clearly shows in the pride of his work and the reflection of his company.
Recently purchased an older home, which required replacing the existing outdated electrical stove and under cabinet microwave with a new gas slide in range with stainless steel hood. The existing electrical source contained the incorrect 230 voltage/amp combination for the new equipment. Fred updated the electrical source with the proper 120 volt circuit, using the existing conduit, directly from the fuse box which spanned the length of the home. While doing so, he was able to recycle many of the existing materials, so as to keep costs as low as possible. Once completed, he also installed and hard wired the stainless steel hood, which provided new feel and function of the kitchen.
