We moved back to Livermore last year after being away for 15+ years. We're still ""re-acquainting"" ourselves with our home which we rented out while gone. When our neighborhood briefly lost power and our home was the only one to not come back online we knew we had a problem. My husband called a company who said they could come out but later called to cancel

I took my turn. I like supporting local businesses and found ""Five or Free Electrical Solutions"" in Livermore. I spoke to John who was helpful and assuring at the same time

A time window was set for Elvin to check out our situation. Elvin arrived promptly and remedied the problem. He was courteous, professional and thorough. (He also did a quick check of our internal outlet system to determine a cause.)

We deeply appreciated the customer care from the front office and in the field. We were about to leave for a few days and didn't want to leave the issue with our friend who would be house sitting for us.

We've already told and recommended ""Five or Free Electrical Solutions"" to our friends and neighbors!!! The cost for this emergency service was reasonable. We will look into a full electrical house assessment in the future.

Five or free was recommended to us by our realtor. They were the most professional people I've worked with in a long time. Very friendly, informative and good on following up with any of the questions we asked throughout the process of rewiring our entire house. Evan, Matt, and Jake (Josh?) were all great at explaining what they were doing and fulfilling every request we had.
We feel confident about the electricity in our home and they even went above and beyond in a couple of things we didn't even know we could do to upgrade our lights!

I hope I don't have any more electrical repairs, but when I invariably do, I will absolutely call these guys. They were fast, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. In fact, their representative showed up on time, and showed me a way to solve the problem I was having, on my own. They did not derive any monetary benefit from this transaction, but they were still happy that I was happy. Honesty might be becoming increasingly rare these days, but these guys were both honest and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

I have been meaning to post a review since Five or Free rewired my entire house between Thanksgiving and the New Year, but became extremely ill in mid January. I burned up my old fuse box while using a space heater. I called Five or Free and Tim responded. My old wiring was very dangerous and Tim and the owner of Five or Free, Gilbert Ayala, helped me with what I had to do to make my wiring safe. They also went out of their way to get the City of Alameda to get me access to my own power line. II decided to totally rewire my house. My house is 113 years old and it was not easy to get behind the walls. The techs did not have it easy. I want to thank all the men who worked on my house. Chris, especially, who worked in the pouring rain for 2 days. Josh, Rafael, Oscar, Isaac and Eric! All of them are amazing! A contractor who is remodeling a nearby house and saw that my house was being rewired, came over and asked me if he could look at my new electric box that Five or Free installed. An electrical outage in two rooms of our home put us in a quandary. I called two well-recommended electrical service outfits. The first one scheduled an appointment for the following day, but could not keep the appointment. The second scheduled an appointment two days out, but then canceled because of an emergency in another project. I then called Five or Free Electrical Solutions and they scheduled an appointment for later in the afternoon of the same day.
Evan Ruenz arrived at our home at 5 PM. He diagnosed and fixed the problem, a faulty circuit breaker, within an hour. He explained that he was a electrician supervisor and responded to our call because the other technicians were fully booked. It was refreshing to encounter a company that makes an extended effort to service a customer.

Had the guys come take a look at an issue we've been having for the past 3 years with outlets not working in our rooms. We had Thomas come in take a look and give us a quote. Tim came in a few days later to figure out what was the issue with trouble shooting and he found the problem. We scheduled an appointment for the fix and Evan and Matthew came and did the job super quick and were very clean and helped us out get our light working! Thank you Five or Free electric! Highly recommend these guys in the Bay Area for electrical needs!
