I would actually give Five or Free 10 stars if I could!!! My experience with them was nothing but professional, accommodating and responsive. We had just moved into our home when we were faced with some wiring issues. Many of our plugs were not grounded especially the ones that our 60"" television needed to use. In fact there was no power to that outlet!! One phone call and Emmanuel was ringing the doorbell!! After a thorough review of our situation he made a recommendation that involved making our old knob and tube wiring safe without rewiring the whole house and putting in overhead wiring for an overhead lamp. The next morning Josh and his crew showed up before 9 and worked tirelessly the whole day... no stopping for lunch!!! Their communication was flawless!!! I could even track where Josh was as he drove in from Modesto early in the morning!!! I could not recommend this company more!! They were an absolute pleasure to work with.

Showed up as soon as they could to provide an estimate and then again to do the work. When something unexpected arose as soon as our electrician left, I called the office and he returned within minutes and stayed until everything was working perfectly.

The response from this company was great! Sal came out, talked to us about our needs, took pictures and worked up a comprehensive quote, we talked about it, decided on what we had to do, committed to the work and within a week we had an appointment. Chris came to do the work and he was fantastic, all the work was done in one day and Chris worked hard. He made sure everything was perfect before he left. All the area that he worked in we left extremely clean. Not only would I recommend them, I will be using them again!

They did a great job with wiring new lights and outlets in my master bedroom. Josh, Christian and Gilbert were extremely helpful. A mistake was made with the height of two sconces, but the team readjusted them without hassle and patched over the holes expertly.

The team also cleans up very well and provide stellar customer service. I highly recommend Five Or Free!

The issue was not resolved, but it certainly was for not a lack of trying. Jonathan on the phone is great and a please to speak with. I am giving 5 stars because the thing we needed to find (a transformer) was buried deep somewhere in the house. However, the tech did provide workarounds and an alternative to make things right which is very much appreciated.

They arrived on time. Provided a text when the technician was on the way, and the tech was very courteous while at my home.

It is always a crap shoot if you are going to get good service, etc. I am glad Five or Free met expectations.

Their service is as advertised! Their initial response was great and the communication between the office and the service technician couldn't have been better. The tech., Sal, was a very amiable and knowledgeable. He helped us with a circuit breaker fault in our hot tub. He took the extra time to determine that the fault was with the hot tub's control board. I will definitely use this firm again!

Hands down for prompt responses! Easy to set up appointments for both the estimate and outlet installations. They always text me to update their arrival time so that I don't have to sit at home forever waiting. I had called many electricians in the area and they are the only one with fast response and reasonable price! The electrician Chris is super responsible, installed a beautiful outlet without a mess (not even leaving a peck of dust).

Five or Free has worked for our family twice now, on large jobs, and both times their work, competence and attention to detail were outstanding. Each one of the electricians was prompt, polite and personable. Their estimate was accurate and reasonable, and they did not charge for work it was determined unneeded. Special commendations due to Allen and Justin for their great job this second time.

When I was preparing my house for sale, a home inspector surprised me by informing me the electrical panel was substandard and needed replacement. The first contractor I contacted, a specialist in such replacements, told me the panel had to be moved to meet code, the only suitable spot was in front of the house, but the City would not approve placement there due to esthetics. He advised me to apply for a variance with the Planning department, which he predicted would take five months, and after that to call him again. Needless to say, I checked with multiple other contractors and heard other opinions, but did not find one I trusted who seemed to know what they were talking about and quoted a reasonable price. They all expected me to obtain approvals from the electrical supplier and government entities before they would start work. Finally, I called Five or Free Electric.

The experience with Five or Free was a cut above all the others. They were prompt, confident, knowledgeable, and assured me they would handle any and all contact with government inspectors and PG&E. Their price was comparable with that quoted by the ""expert"" I had first talked with. Above all, they were true to their word, performing excellent work in accord with the timetable they had proposed. Gilbert, Josh, Allan and Tim were all courteous, prompt, helpful and totally professional. Ethan did a great job managing the project. These guys know what they are doing and know the City inspectors; the inspectors know them and know they do great work so everything went extremely smoothly. I am so glad I engaged Five or Free Electric.
