Very professional and knowledgeable about their trade. Most of all very efficient with the time for completion. The work looked really well, I'm know electrician but I know when things look right and good.... Very happy I found them and I will be using there services again.

I did a really stupid thing and hired a bad contractor. He made a mess of my project and after I fired him, he slapped a lien on my house and has me involved in an ugly legal dispute. The wiring was a mess, and he sheetrocked over most of it, and lied about the inspection passing (it hadn't). How do I even start to fix it all?
Enter the Fighting Amish who, while incredibly busy, looked at the mess and gave me an estimate I could work with in very short order. They were precise, efficient and careful in explaining what was wrong and how it had to be fixed. It took a while to get it scheduled (did I say they're very busy?) but it was so worth it!
Not only did they come on time, with all the right stuff and dig right in, but they were kind enough to take the extra time to document the issues for me, with photos even, so I can defend myself against the bad contractor. When unexpected issues came up, they called me, helped me figure out the best solution and had the job done within a week. Needless to say, the inspection passed without a hitch, and I'm very happy with the job they did. And they didn't leave a mess behind, pee in my bushes or make my neighbors mad at me.
Oh, and they came in well under budget. Ahead of schedule.
I like their style; rapid fire, to the point, professional, yet affable and agreeable. If I ever get out of the legal mess with the bad contractor, I'll have the Fighting Amish back to upgrade other parts of the house.

I am so happy to have found Fighting Amish Electrical! Daan and his crew have done two different jobs for me over the past 6 months, one involving the electrical part of new landscaping with a studio, fountain and garden lighting. The second last week was installation of a motion activated lighting for a driveway area. Both times, I was awed by his knowledge of the right equipment for the job, the efficiency of their work (time wise) and overall professionalism.
You may have to wait a bit to get on their schedule, but I would not use any other electrical contractor for any job.

Very professional! Excellent follow through! He responded immediately to my plea to help my 87yr old friend when her lights and heater went out. Set up an 8pm appointment on short notice and when a furnace repairman, who was called a day before, repaired the problem before he arrived he called to make sure everything was working before he quit for the day. He has my friends future business and mine too!

I bookmarked Fighting Amish Electric in July 2010 after reading Lainie L's review. Like her, I find clever names like this irresistible, and a 5 star review from her is something I could take to the bank. A couple of years ago, when Nina needed an electrician I referred her to them and she was delighted w/ the work they did. Until now we haven't needed their services.
Historically we have had our microwave in a custom built cabinet above the refrigerator. Its position speaks as much to my initial distaste for the microwave as anything else. I have come around to it w/ time, but w/ time I have also been shrinking. Add to that Alan's recent back and leg pain and we decided to move the microwave down to the counter. A heavy extension cord allowed us to plug it into the designated plug on the cabinet. There were a couple of ways we could address this on a more permanent basis. Someone from Fighting Amish Electric came out a few months ago, assessed it and gave us estimates. One option included moving the refrigerator out of the cabinet, but it wouldn't cooperate and we decided to go w/ the other option. We scheduled an appointment to have the work done and had to reschedule due to a last minute medical appointment. Each time they called to confirm the appointment.
Today Inder came out and drilled a hole in the side of the cabinet. He charged us only $75 rather than the normal fee of $150 because he said he had done so little work. I really appreciated that. I asked him about the name of the company. He said his brother Daan had named it after working years ago for a company w/ a name so unmemorable not even HE could remember it! It's definitely a memorable name and more clever than most. Next time we need electrical work we will definitely call on Fighting Amish Electric.

Forgot to edit my review about these guys! First these guys are amazing. You know that fairy tale about the tired shoemaker who just couldn't do everything, then the elves came during the night, fix and complete everything? Yeah, not to belittle them at all, but Fighting Amish Electric are those elves. (they're actually quite tall people..)
They've been working non-stop from morning to late evening for a week now of a two week project and everything is moving fast, smooth, informed and exactly as i would like, unless they suggest otherwise, 'cause i'm not an electrician. They are so knowledgeable about everything that any of your questions will be explained easily, but also, they take care of problems before you even know its a problem (with your approval of course.) They deal with PGE and inspectors so you don't have to unless necessary.
I will say that it took forever to get them to do the work, but a complete rewire of a 1911 house isn't that easy, takes a lot of their time, and all you people out there are looking to book them too! I'd say they should expand, but that would loose a lot of the small business feel. (although its run like a big business, the professionalism and personality is more comfortable.) So they're busy, deal with it, i looked at several other bids and literally turned those others down because i had a feeling from the first inspection these guys were better.
Book ahead of time for your project, be patient and persevering, yeah, take your other bids, but i guarantee, you will feel lousy if you hire anyone else!
My previous review listed a lot of run around, back and forth emails and no followups.. it makes sense though, since they are over at my house everyday all day long for 2 weeks, they aren't going to be over at your house. :) I can only say, if you are reading this review, if they don't call back or email back, neither do you sometimes.. Fighting Amish Electric is incredibly busy, for an incredibly good reason. Hire them! and good luck!

The brothers are a great bet for all your electrical needs. They did considerable work on our two properties with fair pricing. On occasion they may run late, but that is a small price to pay for outstanding work. Also, both brothers and assistants are very nice and fun to be around. That always helps when dealing with house issues. Highly recommended.

Again used Fighting Amish in 8/2013. Both brothers + their assistant for a larger job that included bringing in a new line (and crawling in an impossibly low crawl space under the house). All done perfectly; rapidly; no mess; result is great (again).

We thought we had a small job, but it turned into a medium job. Daan fit us in and got the job done, no muss no fuss. He explained everything in clear terms, was very friendly and professional. He didn't even mind two young kids constantly asking him what he was doing.
If we ever get around to building another room on our house, we'll definitely call Fighting Amish to do the wiring.

Yes; you may have to wait a week or two to get them, but it will be worth it. While I was waiting, I called several other well known electrical companies. Yikes; I would have waited months once I heard what these other guys were saying... Two were older and didn't want to work in my completely retrofitted crawlspace saying it looked ""grim."" (Instead they came up with absurd alternate ideas to avoid the hard work.) Wiring is often under houses; isn't that what electricians do?
Daan was fantastic. Young, bright, enthusiastic; not burned out or unwilling to make an effort. He took so much time explaining, doing a detailed estimate, thinking of the best (not just the easiest) solution. Everything was done quickly, carefully, efficiently and professionally with lots of communication. Daan works like crazy. He also oversees his brother and their employee, Brandon, making sure everything is done correctly.
When I apologized that it was ""grim"" under my house, he just said ""you're paying me to work there."" Right; that's what electricians do... Possibly not the cheapest company around, but reasonable (and ABSOLUTELY worth the price.)
I'll hire them again and I'll wait for their availability, if I have to, no matter how long it takes.
Thank you Fighting Amish.
