Ferreira Const
Company Overview
Home Building Services
Ferreira Const started back in 2005 as a handyman business. Then, I obtained my license with the CSLB in the year 2008 as a B1 contractor and acquired a secondary licensed C36 Plumber in 2015.
Hello! I am Raymon, a qualified B1 general contractor and C36 plumbing specialist. We operate from Castro Valley, CA. I began my career as a handyman in the year 2005 after being with a biotech company for six years that was taken over. I received my license in 2008 and have been self-employed ever since. My apprenticeship came under a family owned construction company which gave me the privilege to learn from a master plumber / general contractor from a young age.
We operate on punctuality, accountability, creativity, customer service and customer support after the job is completed. Whether the job is large or small, I aim to guarantee that every project is executed properly, timely, and cost-effectively!
Thank you for stopping by our website and I look forward to assisting you with your future construction requirements!

Recommended Customer Reviews

I didn't want to write this review yet. I wanted time to pass, so I could write an unbiased, emotion free review, but based on Lesley's review, I think it's time.
We have used Raymon on three different projects. We trusted him. He did good work. We recommended him. But something has changed.
We hired him to do a bathroom remodel. The main work was to enlarge a small shower stall and retile it. It wasn't cheap for us. He quoted us $11,300, but since we trusted him and used him before, we agreed. The work was delayed. The start dates were either 10/2 or 10/9, but he didn't start until 10/20. Sickness, death in the family all affected the work. The timeline for completion was 21-28 days. I asked him if we would be done by Thanksgiving. He said yes.
He didn't do the bulk of the work, like he used to. He would bring his cousin, give him instructions, then leave to go to another job. To be fair, his cousin Tony was very nice and polite, but we felt we hired someone else. We hired Raymon and not his cousin.
We were getting frustrated at the length of time it was taking. We gave him a deadline of 12/13, because it was taking a toll on our holiday plans. We told him if he wasn't done by then, we'd have to pause the work and resume in the new year. On 12/9, he called and said he was very sick and wouldn't be able to work. He would update us with his condition.
On 12/29 I texted him and he said he was still sick. On 1/12/2018, I texted Raymon again and this time he replied that he would send me an email later in the day. Worried, I called him. He said he wasn't going to finish the job, that he felt intimidated by my husband, even if my husband wasn't talking to Raymon at this point. He was pissed how the job was taking too long despite our being so flexible. His tone on the phone was very aggressive and hostile, a departure from his apologetic manner. He said if we wanted the work done, he wouldn't be able to do it until March.
Up to this point, we had paid him $9825. The last part of the job, the most important part, was the custom tiling. The remainder was $1475. He claimed we had more than enough to hire someone else to finish the work.
Oh, because many contractors would like to go behind someone's abandoned work and pick up where they left off. I texted him and said if he knew he wasn't going to finish the job, he should've told us.
I was lucky to find a good tile expert to finish the job. He found many flaws in Raymon's work: inferior tile, uneven floor, slope not right. Also Raymon picked the cheapest, builder's shower set Home Depot sold. He didn't do that before on our other bathroom. He picked out Moen fixtures. See, he was good before.
We filed a complaint with the California state licensing board.
Folks, beware, hire someone else.

Do NOT hire this man! Vidal Raymon Sanchez - the owner and sole operator of Ferreira Construction. He took $4,930 of my money and abandoned my job. I hired Mr. Sanchez to remodel my kitchen in February. On March 15th he demolished my kitchen and that was all he did. He has $4,930 and I have a demolished kitchen. In my efforts to get my money back he has written me texts that lead me to believe he might be mentally unstable and I now fear for my safety as a result. I am filing complaints against this contractor (Ca Contractors board and his insurance carrier) and suing him. So, learn from my mistake and do not even consider hiring Vidal Raymon Sanchez - the owner and sole operator of Ferreira Construction he will take your deposit and you will never see him again. The lady without a kitchen in Lafayette.
Day 48 w/o kitchen. I have filed reports with California Contractors License Board and his insurance company. I am fighting back.
Important !!! Mr. Sanchez did some electric work before he stole my money and abandoned my job - That work was done wrong and now I will have to pay to have it re-done. I will sue to get reimbursed for this cost. DO NOT HIRE HIM. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE - DON'T BE HIS NEXT VICTIM. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU SO WE CAN ALL WORK TOGETHER - LESLEY
Update - 5/21/18. Day 67 without a kitchen. Working through the complaint process with the California State License Board and his Surety Bond Co. Just heard from another victim today. In that case $23,000 has been stolen. DO NOT HIRE - DO NOT TRUST - VIDAL RAYMON SANCHEZ, FERREIRA CONSTRUCTION. HE WILL SIGN A CONTRACT AND TAKE YOUR MONEY AND ABANDON YOUR PROJECT. WE ARE COMING FOR YOU RAY...AND NOW WE ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO BRING YOU TO JUSTICE.

Raymon is a very skilled craftsman. I had given up hope of getting the landing and steps done at my home. A friend hired Raymon and was really satisfied with the quality of his work on her project. I was not disappointed, Raymon did a great job. I look forward to working with him on my next project.

Honest and professional, Raymon does great work. He respected my limited budget. He had useful advice for all of the details needed to accomplish my big picture goal at a fair price. I will use Raymon again for my next construction project.
