Three strikes and you are out! I contacted Farnum Electric over eight months ago when they came out for a quote. I was told at the time that they would contact SDG&E for a permit which could take up to 3 months. I never heard anything back. Fast forward 8 months, I contacted Farnum Electric and inquired what had happened and why I had never heard anything back. Rusty stated that something did not sound right and he would ask his brother, who at the time was out of town and find out what was going on. A week later, never heard anything back from Rusty, so I called again to see if his brother had gotten back in from town and was told, yes, I was speaking to the fellow who actually had been out of town. When he was back in the office on Monday, he would pull our original quote and contact me. To my surprise, he text me on that Monday and asked to come out the following day. My husband and I waited around during the scheduled time for Farnum Electric to come out and no one ever came or called.
So unprofessional and unreliable. I can only image how unreliable they would have been had they actually been contracted to do the work. What a waste of time. A headache I did not need and I will take my business elsewhere.

Barry did the initial estimate and Sergio came by to fix/wire outlets, install a fan, and a complete a few other electrical odds and ends. Super impressed with their professionalism. Sergio was punctual, extremely thorough, proficient and worked expeditiously. Highly recommend!

Farnum Electric are THE BEST! I've used Farnum Electric many times at my place of business as well as at my home. They are honest, trustworthy and will not gouge you. When we had a heat wave and my air conditioner was not getting any power they came right out and figured out the problem and had it fixed very rapidly and we were able to continue operating our business for the rest of the day! Barry Farnum is perhaps the most unprofessional person I have ever met. We required his services in one of our properties, I met with him and instead of giving me a good morning he gave me a grumpy face indicating me that he did not wanted to be there. I was very uncomfortable being around him because I could see he was not happy, I am so glad it was not one of my tenants that had to deal with him. Mr. Farnum I understand that we all have bad days in our life, but it does not mean you have to take your frustration on others. As far as I know I won't be using Farnum Electric ever again.

Barry is honest and friendly, plus he has a high level of knowledge. He is quick to make recommendations that fit within the budget. Timing is sometimes an issue, but I chalk that up to how good he is that everyone wants him. If it's urgent he always makes sure to fit me in. I highly recommend.
