Such a joy working with these folks. Called on Monday to install a Tesla Wall Connector, gave me a rough quote right away, understood I was driving, so communicated via text. Different team members texted me from the same number, and kept the conversation going. Got instructions via text, and then a formal quote via email. I screwed up following instruction around taking pictures of my panel, so they walked me through over a call in real-time. Scheduled on Tuesday, and got installed on Wednesday! Technician came on time, explained all the things, finished on time, and collected payment right on site. These folks are legit

I needed to install a Tesla wall connector and contacted about 10 electricians for the job. I had an existing 8 gauge wire on a 240V/40A breaker, which was good enough for the charger. However, most electricians insisted on replacing the wire, so the quotes I received varied quite a bit. Faraday gave the lowest quote and was willing to work with my situation. And instead of waiting for 2-3 weeks, they were available to do the work in 2 days and did an amazing job. The communication was thorough and clear. I highly recommended it.

If I chose just for Level 2 Charger install(Tesla Wall Connector), I would leave Five Star Review. But I chose to have them handle the permit with the city and goes downhill from there. Faraday Electric is based in San Diego and started to set foot in the Bay Area. They are good putting together the proposal with pictures you provide and using Google maps of your property. Price is very reasonable for installation of the charger. After accepting the proposal, they were able to have an installer install the charger the following day. The installer, Kevin did a great job installing our Tesla Wall Connector while it was pouring rain. He commissioned and tested to make sure the charger was functioning properly. Kevin explained about the permit processing and someone in the company would setup the appointment and be there for the city inspection for the permit. After two months without any update on the permit, I took the initiative with the city to see if the permit application was applied. The city had no record. I emailed the energy advisor assigned to me and email bounced back. So I called the company and asked what was the update on the permit. They claim to escalate to the permit department. The permit department would contact me within an hour, but never did. I had to email directly to the permit department to finally get an answer. They claim they filed the permit(which was the wrong city, which they assume my city was part of) and would reapply to the correct city. The permit department would give an update, but again did not update me. Two weeks later, I called the city and confirm the application of the permit. One week later, checking on status of the permit and found out it was cancelled. The city told me Faraday did not pay the necessary fees for contractor with the city. I emailed the permit department about the cancelled permit and what the city told me. Permit department response was they are good with the city and see if they would need to reapply for the permit again. They would update me, but again did not. Two weeks later, I contacted the city. The city confirmed the permit was issued. I emailed this information to the permit department and they just gave files to print out to show and how to set up appointment with building inspection. I emailed back if someone from the company would be there for the inspection. The permit department claim most cities do not need electrician to be there for the inspection. Felt like I was misinformed by the installer and let permit department know what the installer told me. Their response is if there is a problem and a second appointment needed, the permit department can set it up. Finally, after more than 3 months , the permit was approved. Even the city inspector was surprised the contractor was not there for the inspection. You paid x amount for a permit to be handled by the company, but felt you did most the work to get it done.

The service was prompt and professional. Also the rate was competitive - but not necessarily the best. But they had the best rate from higher rated service providers.

The technicians that they sent in were knowledgeable, experienced and professional. They came on-time and finished on-time.

Overall I had a very positive experience.

I also signed up for the permit option. Hopefully that will also be as flawless as the installation itself.
