Rob Parker, also known as ""The Fan Doctor"", has become the person we rely on whenever we run into any issues with the overhead fans in our house. His first visit late last year solved a problem with a fan that I had installed myself and that worked fine for four years until it developed multiple issues. After two unsuccessful attempts to fix it on my own, I heard about Mr. Parker and gave him a call. He knows about everything there is to understand about overhead fans and he had it working flawlessly in short order. Today he made his second visit to replace a broken, thirty-year old fan with one I had purchased. He made quick work of the job and my new fan is working beautifully.

As he was about to leave the house I pointed out two old fans dating back to the 1980's. He looked them over and then showed me how to check if they needed oiling. They didn't, but he explained how I could oil the fans myself should that day arrive. He is a generous man with his knowledge, happy to help people learn how to avoid calling him for maintenance that they can do on their own.

I got Dr. Rob's number through Pacific Ceiling Fans. He specializes in ceiling fan installations and repairs, so he knows the ins and outs. He's a retired marine, having flown helicopters. So he knows his spinning blades!

We had two ceiling fans that weren't spinning very fast anymore, and had one to replace. He was able to fix the first just by letting me know the chain had been pulled, limiting it to medium speed (duh). The other needed to have it's controller and switch replaced, which he was able to do quickly.

The installation was a bit of a misunderstanding. He was supposed to pick it up from Pacific Ceiling Fan and bring it with him, but he didn't. He says that never happens and was extremely apologetic. It was a mix-up with a new staff person that was new and ultimately hadn't worked out. I was disappointed because I was so excited to finally have the new fan. It was a Thursday, and he agreed to come do the install on Saturday morning, even though he tries not to work weekends. He came this morning as promised and installed the fan. He gave me a reduced price for the work and all three of my fans are working great now.

I appreciated his attitude and his willingness to come back on a day off. Chances are, if you hire Dr. Rob, there will be no miscommunication like this and all you'll get is good, expert service.
