Recommended Customer Reviews

Wow, seems like the reviews on Paul run hot or cold. My experience with Fairway and Paul has been good! I like his honesty and candor, and he has taken the time to answer a ton of my questions and make sure I understand the process. As with all contractors, you want to make sure you're on top of scheduling and scope of work and costs, so I tend to do that with whomever I work, so that mode worked well. I had an EV charger installed, and while it was not the highest bid, it was not the lowest, but I felt they earned my trust and that premium is worthwhile. The electricians he has sent for the couple jobs I've had the past 5 years have all been excellent, very affable and hard working. I will consider Paul and Fairway the first place I call for a quote at the very least, if not the place to hire. Just keep in mind, contractors have to have a lot of things going on, so take the 1-star reviews with a grain of salt, and always try to be on top of the contracts going on. Paul's crew was on time and got the work done in a reasonable time-frame as promised. He even scheduled them in short order for my EV charger and started super early to make sure I was comfortable since I'm expecting my EV the next day.

Save the trouble. This guy is unprofessional and likely bi-polar. Have him on a recorded line confirming times and date. He asked for a calendar invite to be sent. We sent it directly after the phone drops.
He emails 6 hours later outside of the calendar invite sending varying confusing responses and basically TELLING us he'll arrive 2 hours outside of the confirmed calendar invite time.
I think he may be bi-polar because what then followed was a slew of contradicting messages not confirming anything that was said on the recorded call and basically making up pricing as he so chose.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

We have utilized Paul and his guys twice this year and they were great. Not only were the quickly responsive but they were on time and were very helpful with getting us the proper switch plates and plugs for the whole house but they put in 8 light fixtures and all the proper smoke detectors. The next time they added an electrical outlet to the garage and added an outdoor light fixture with dusk to dawn sensors. They are quick, efficient, always hopeful and most of all the prices are quite reasonable

I live in the Malibu gardens condos and this electric company was recommended by the HOA. They were solid. Professional. Owner Paul Called me on his cell and made sure everything was ok. They sent a professional that fixed the issue the next day. Professional. Experts. Great knowledge and service. Good pricing. Five Stars

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with an electrician. I paid $100 to Paul the owner to come out and give an estimate for my EV charger five weeks ago. A week or so later I got an estimate emailed to me with the cost of the job listed at $0.00.
I called a few days later and asked if I could have an actual estimate for the work and he said give him a couple days and he would send me an estimate. Two weeks passed with no word, I called him and asked for an estimate and he said he would look into it immediately.
Another week passed and I called again asking if I could have a refund for the $100 which I paid for essentially nothing. He said absolutely not and that give him until the end of the day and he would have the estimate to me.
ANOTHER WEEK goes by with zero contact and I called to ask for another refund and he said NO! FIVE WEEKS have passed now, with absolutely nothing to show. Horrible customer service, rude on the phone, and a complete disdain for his customers.
Do not hire this guy Paul for anything - ever.

Do NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR LARGE CHANDELIERS
I contacted Paul to take down five chandeliers for me and transfer them to the garage. I even sent him the pictures and dimensions. He was quick to take the job and forgot to mention that they have no experience with moving large high-end crystal chandeliers (mine worth $8000 each). His guys even told me that.
The two electricians he sent over broke my chandelier in three places 10 feet away from the electric box on their way to the garage. They simply didn't have the tools nor the knowledge on how to move chandeliers from one location to another within the house. The original company that installed them for me sent two men, they had a poll on their shoulders with a hook that supported the weight of the chandelier so it was hung during transfer within the house. Then before they laid it down on the floor, they removed the crystals at the bottom so they wouldn't break. These guys just showed up with a ladder and They weren't strong enough to carry the chandelier with bare hands and broke it.
I called Paul and all I was looking for was an apology. I even told him that I am not asking for repair money and this is what he said in return: he rudely replied:
""It's NOT our fault that the chandelier broke... it was your fault. You didn't have what was needed to transfer them safely!!!! I got to go"" and then he hung up.
Well Paul, It's not like I hired you to transfer them to storage for me!!! You were simply hired to take them down and lay it in the garage. Transferring them is being done by a professional moving company who made custom crates and all they asked me to do was to hire an electrician to take them down. Your guys failed to take it down safely and broke it on the way to the garage before it even made it to moving day.
Shame on you for not taking responsibility for your company's actions and shame on you for not apologizing. That's the least a decent person would do after they break an $8000 item. At least your guys that you sent over were kind and apologetic.

The guys that have actually come out to do work have been great. I've used them three times now and have been trying my hardest for a fourth time. The problem is trying to get anyone to actually come out. I've been told to send an e-mail so I did but heard nothing back. Reached out again by e-mail but nothing. Called and was told I'd be given a call back but nothing. E-mailed again but nothing. I hate to go with someone else when I've liked the guys that have showed up but it feels like they're just too busy.

Paul asked me to send him pictures of what I needed done
- I did - he asked me not to call Angie's list because he would
have to pay them a commission.
I followed up 3 times with Paul .....
He would get the prices to me by Friday then it was tomorrow
and then it was by noon!
A week later I received an email from his office that said they
Needed my address-because- he's got to come and look at
At what needs to be fixed.
It took him a week to tell me that he needed to come by and look
at it - he should've been able to tell me that upon
Receiving my email and if there was any problems with the email he should've told me then and not a week later.
Paul wasted a week of my time - gave me three different
excuses ..... none of which were true.
He - doesn't even deserve one star.
Heaven help the people that call him from Angie's list!

Needed some more electrical work done in the house. Our exhaust fan in the kitchen need to be replaced and I had a few dead outlets. I called Paul a few times, he was really busy and said he'd call in a week. Didn't call. I called him again, spoke to him said he'd call in a week he had a family thing and would call in a week or so. Didn't call back. I called a few weeks later spoke to him, said he'd call back in a few days. Nothing. Oh well.

Called to schedule an appointment due to one of our outlets that stopped working. Paul answered and asked that we send an email with our info. He mentioned that he should be able to get to us either later in the day or first thing the next morning. But we have passed both times and he still hasn't reached out to schedule. I know he does very good work because we've used him previously but scheduling was an issue then as well. He should really think about have a better system to handle requests. If he couldn't get to us due to the holiday then just say that and schedule for the next available. Unfortunately we've moved on to a company that scheduled our appointment right when we called.
