Jacob performed a very extensive main panel upgrade at my parents house that required 3 days of work. He kept their electric downtime to a minimum during those 3 days. He is a very pleasant and professional technician and easy to work with and highly recommended!
Letitia J.They are really great; Franco came out today did what we needed, very quick super clean easy explanation .... no hassle!
We will definitely have him come out for the next job!
I thought these guys were great.they sent Bernardino and he knew exactly what was wrong with my situation and a stove that had gone out along with the whole left side of a brand new houses' electricity.couple hours later I was back in running order even better then before.the electrician got there exactly when he said and even covered his feet so his boots wouldn't scratch my hardwood floors.(I respect those types of things)I will definitely recommend.the dude was cool man
Allison B.I called express electrical to repair some outlets that weren't working. I thought it was great that they would come the same day. They said there was a 49.95 service fee that would be waived it if I hired them to complete the job. After coming out the technician looked at the outlets and quoted me 3 prices, 7900 to fixed the problem and change the breaker box so it wouldn't happen again, 2800 to fix part of the breaker box, or 850 to troubleshoot the problem but that it would probably happen again in the future. I passed and decided to get a second opinion. The new company came out and within 5 minutes found a loose wire. They said the breaker box was fine and that whoever said something was wrong with it didn't know what they were doing. My outlets were fixed for only 75 dollars. It seems like express electric just wants the service fee and will way over charge for any actual work. Would not recommend
I have to say at first I was a little hesitant on going with the first company I called to get my home rewired. From the reviews though I knew I was in good company. Raul was my entire technician the whole time and I got such a good vibe the moment he came over. He walked me thru everything, what the job would entail, how long it would take, and he went above and beyond with installing my new techy gadgets. All permits and inspection were taken care of with no headache. I couldn't be more happier that I went with Express Electric, but specifically Raul as I know I can be a pain to work with and he was so patient with me in explaining everything in so much detail. I now have my go-to electrician when ever I need some work done :)
Marlo T.The technician Oren was a nice guy he seemed knowledgable and helped us get our power back on, but at a ripped off price. He quoted us $800 ( and nicely offered to put the $129 service call fee towards that) to troubleshoot and repair the problem, then the day of the service my father-in-law waited for him because both my husband and I had to work. He was over an hour late showed up @ 10:30 as opposed to 8am, he did the troubleshooting and then called me to tell me that he found the problem and the cost to repair was $675 or $935. I went over the differences and said lets go with the $675 if we are going to have to rewire in a few months anyways and we were expecting to pay the $800 so the $675 was a deal great thank you. Then when I get home from work I saw that he apparently charged the $800 plus the $675. I immediately called my father-in-law to find out what happened and he said that the technician told him I authorized the additional charge which I absolutely did not! I authorized a charge of $675 and that was it. Saturday morning I called into the office to discuss us having been over charged and I was told a manager would call me back and they never did. I called again this morning and a manager did call me back after I complained of no one calling me back on Sat. The manager gets on the line and she apparently had the technician right there with her and she wasn't even listening to what I was really saying she was more telling the tech what I was saying (only half of it) and then she listened to his side. So now we are playing a he said she said game. As I proceeded to get more and more upset as I explained the tech totally took advantage of my father-in-law and I absolutely did not authorize $800 plus $675 I authorized a charge of $675 she suddenly had to go to discuss this and she will call me back. Another hour goes by and I call back and she's now in a meeting (shocker).
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!! I CALLED ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN AND WAS TOLD THE COST OF MY REPIAR SHOULD OF BEEN $300-$500 MAX AND THAT $1400 WAS A TOTAL RIP OFF!
I WILL TAKE THESE PEOPLE TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT TO GET MY MONEY BACK IF I HAVE TO THIS IS RIDICULOUS FOR THEM TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE THE WAY THAT THEY DID!
The tech came and was told I had a bad circuit breaker. I would have replaced it myself except it was hard to get due to old style. Instead just to confirm it's bad he wanted over $900 just to diagnose the circuit, claiming there might be other hidden problems. I told him just change the breaker if he has one. He won't do. He started talking about how old my panel was and have me a ridiculous $5500 to replace the panel with only 100 amp service. I told him both prices were ridiculous. He offered to call his office to see if the prices can be reduced. I send him packing after paying the service call. I had my electrician come the next day and replaced for $105. He will upgrade to replace my panel in March for $2500. Bottomine, tech was honest, but company policy is bad
A rip off for folks not know better. I'm an electrical engineer, determined the breaker was bad. Will not ever use them again.
Jenny-John K.We called many electrician since November and these guys were the only one that called us back. They are pricey but very reliable. We like how they start work right away instead of having to book and wait weeks later. They came on time and did their work professionally.
Adnil M.Hector and Vance came out after their regular day to fix the outdoor light fixtures that were not quite aligned (they were installed by Express a week earlier) They were courteous and pleasant and took care of aligning the fixtures and making sure I was satisfied. Yes, Express is more expensive than other Electricians, but they are professional and treat their employees well ,i.e., health benefits, competitive salaries, and continuous education for their employees. And best of all an 18 month warranty!
Talked to several electricians in the area and got approximate numbers for replacing a panel but these guys were the only people who could get out to the job quickly. I should have read the Yelp reports before moving ahead and saved myself the $50 for the visit.
They will not give you an estimate over the phone but it's such a standard job that there shouldn't be a lot of price variation so I went ahead and made the appointment.
For a simple panel replacement they wanted $8,300 which is more than double any other quote. For a house this size I can nearly get a complete rewire for that kind of money.
Obviously I will not be doing business with these people.
