WARNING WARNING ! Be extremely cautious when working with this company. If we wonder why housing costs are so high , these people are most certainly part of the problem. They deserve NEGATIVE 3 stars .. so. Like 3 Moons ?

IMPORTANT : The people I interacted were both polite and professional. They were bright intelligent and intelligible... ( an important factor in communication ) That's it. Nothing else positive to say.

WATCH-OUT for what they quote you. Do not sign anything !! If you are inexperienced with electrical, you should NOT interact with this company. They will try to take advantage of you.

Example: "" How long ago have you had your panel serviced? "" My answer "" I don't know , how much does it cost ? "" ""$1400.00"". ""To do what?"" Their answer "" Service the panel and lubricate the circuit breakers"". I blinked hard ... replied "" It cost me less to install a brand new panel AND new circuit breakers a few years ago, like $500 less to replace everything to NEW !""

Next:

How much to install a standard GFI outlet 14 feet from panel in wall ? "" Well, it would be about $2800.00 and we would cut a hole in the dry wall for access which we will not repair"" My reply "" I don't have time enough today to be ripped off. Please leave the premises... ""

I got the outlet placed the same day with the hole in the dry wall for $250"". I paid a handy man $75 to patch the hole and paint it.. JOB DONE !

As you see, they are trying to fool you into thinking electrical is both hard and expensive. It is not. You do need to hire a bonded and insured electrician I would advise, but just not such a group like this, that tries to take advantage of your inexperience with this sort of repair.

If we are really concerned about the high cost of housing, please think carefully about how we as a society let these sorts of establishments intrude into our lives, erode our trust and sense of well-being. It's up to all of us as a community to do the best amongst one another, and support your neighbor in times of need.

Good Luck.

They gave me a few options to ""fix"" my problem starting at $4800!!! The least expensive option they quoted me $898. Luckily My friend told me to send them away. I got the whole thing fixed for less than $100 by a licensed electrician.
They are total rip offs!!!

Do yourself a favor and don't call them. They are a joke. They come out charge 49.99 to tell you they can't find a problem. Then give you an estimate of $499.99 just to trouble shoot... to locate the problem ... not fix the problem. Then after that they will give you the price to fix the problem. I had the service guy leave... after paying him his 49.99 only to have had put my face plates on crooked and making a mess. I have to hire a handy man to do it correctly.... I should have used the electrician we have always used. Powell Electric. They are a big company and worth it.

Worst customer service! I'm a commercial broker and property manager for my clients commercial properties and this electrical company wasted my time with idiotic company policies. They first needed authorization from owner to perform work and did so. Then required him to be there after I explained to them he gave them authorization for his property manager to take care of the repairs. My client is very old and THAT IS WHY HE HIRED our company to take care of the property. This company calls me 30 mins before the appointment time to state that he needs to be there in person to pay. I explained he gave authorization for our company to pay. THis is how property management works, we bill the owner.
Without trying to resolve the problem the dispatch just said well we need him to be there or you will need to re-schedule. I am a very busy person and do not have the patience to deal with incompetence. The dispatch person is very rude and will need to be re-trained.

Franco is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. He took the time to answer all my questions, explain what I should expect, and how long the process will take. He did a great job at putting some of my concerns to rest. I feel the price quoted is fair considering the work that will be done. Also the warranty is better than the other companies I got quotes from. Will update after all work is completed.

We did not hire them because I have contractors who advise me, in addition to my extensive experience in remodels. The electrician initially wanted to replace my whole NEW panel instead of making a 4 hour correction. When he learned I wasnt buying his line, he gave me a quote that was 100% higher than any other electrician.

Oh my gosh! What a nightmare! Don't ever use them. They rip you off and give you outrageous quotes. Super tardy too

Robert Duran came out and did a great job! He saved me from my own attempts to replace a switch. He arrived promptly, was courteous throughout the process, and carefully explained the potential problems. He was able to correct the issue very quickly. He definitely knew his stuff! Posting says I'm from San Francisco. I actually live in Redondo Beach.

I will NEVER call Express Electrical Service again!
They charged me $49.95 for an estimate on a severed wire for my outdoor landscape lighting (which I informed them about when I called). When the electrician arrived he gave me a TOTAL of 3 options and the lowest was to tape the wires for $450.00 with NO WARRANTY.
Don't waste your time with this company!
