Edward stopped by my office in La Mesa! He was very informative and gave me pricing to install my Lucid Charger.

Unfortunately the office doesn't have enough power for my 80amp charger and would only run about 40 amps, but he gave me a less expensive option to install at my house. However, I'm waiting to obtain a different location for our office soon as it's a company vehicle and will definitely be calling him to install once we obtain the new office. Super professional and knowledgeable.

Edward helped us with a rather complex Tesla Level 2 charger install in our detached garage. We found that we also needed to complete a full panel upgrade and run new wiring in order to safely handle the additional load of the charger. I was in need of an electrician to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet in a new location in my garage after my dryer outlet melted while charging my Tesla. I requested quotes from about 5 companies. Edward from EV Installs SD was the most thorough and honest. He walked me through his past experiences with people in my situation, risks and recommendations. I was on the calendar for installation just two days later. He arrived on time, was extremely professional and courteous. We chatted during the installation which didn't take more than 30-40 minutes. He explained things along the way and didn't mind me watching. He didn't try to upsell me on anything. He uses industrial grade parts which was so refreshing to see. Thicker wiring gauge way above my charging current, a beefy industrial outlet and box as well. No shortcuts whatsoever. The icing on the cake was that his price was the best of all the quotes I got. Edward, if you're reading this, thank you! My Model Y Tesla is charging effortlessly using my mobile Level 2 EVSE at 25A-30A.

Edward is very accommodating and very skilled at what he does. I recently purchased a Genesis GV60 and needed a Level 2 EVSE at home since the included 12A Level 1 EVSE was too slow for charging. I purchased a highly reviewed Emporia 48A EVSE ($399) and called Edward immediately after an appointment. I found Edward in my community's Facebook group after he was given multiple recommendations and references. Installation was very clean and only took an hour and a half. The majority of the time spent was finding a convenient spot to mount the EVSE, fishing the thick gauge wiring from the EVSE through a stud, and finagling the wiring into the sub panel. Being a handyman myself and fixing random things in the house, I was always curious about electrical work. Edward let me watch how he installed the EVSE and the ins and outs of the sub panel. I was a bit disappointed that my home couldn't accept the full 60A breaker needed for the 48A @11.5kW charging but 40A @ 9.5kW with the 50A breaker is already plenty fast especially if charging overnight.

Edward is a very knowledgeable guy and definitely knows his stuff. Great person to talk to and is local to Chula Vista. I was so happy he was able to accommodate me on short notice. On a Saturday no less. I am very happy to have a trusted electrician in my contacts now. I totally recommend him for your future EV needs or general electrical work.
