Had an emergency plumbing job in the kitchen the very day of a planned dinner party.

This was on a Saturday. Estes was prompt and professional and installed a new faucet. They even had to come back out again that day to replace a pipe under the sink.

Estes came recommended to me by a neighbor, and now I agree with her - they are one of the best with solid pricing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! And this is why: In July 2018 we contacted Estes to replace our Heating and Air Conditioner unit in our home. The sales representative (Sam Rhone) assured us that they will install a brand new system for $9200 so we agreed to have the system replaced. In October 2018 the weather changed so we try to cut on the heat but it did not work. We called Estes out to fix the system and after fours ours we were told that we needed a new zone board and it would cost and additional $1500. I asked him why they didn't install a new zone board in July when they install the new system. Sam said that the zone board from the old system was still working so they did not replace it. I am a disabled veteran on an fixed income and now I have to struggle and pay this company that used old parts on my new system. There is an a lack of integrity and honesty with this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Do what they say, but less professional and more expensive than expected. They spent more time trying to figure out how much I knew about my toilet than repairing the toilet I asked them to fix, but they fixed it after some fuss and irrelevant conversation about my own plumbing skills lol. I called a plumber, clearly I'm not capable, else I wouldn't have called - why did I have to do that dance lol.

I've had pretty good experiences with Estes. I live in a condo and have very little HVAC knowledge. My old unit was 22 years old, so needless to say they'd usually have to come out a few times a year. Each time there was an issue, the technician would explain to me the problem and sometimes even teach me how to fix it moving forward so I didn't need to call them again. They also seem very honest - I've had other technicians come and tell me I need a $500 fix, whereas Estes recognizes this isn't my forever home and will just patch up something to keep it going a few more years.

I recently had to get a new unit and Estes worked with me to provide competitive pricing and even went a few hundred dollars cheaper than my other estimates. Once I purchased, Jered M. and Carlos did an excellent job installing!

The only reason I do not give 5 stars is because on one occasion, they told me they'd be out between 12-5 and they showed up around 6:30-7. Not the end of the world but was inconvenient as I had a function that night at 8.

The Estes technician said he would call me when he arrived at my condo. I was in the bathroom when he called, but I returned the call two minutes later. He said, he had already left my complex to go to the next job ... no message, no notice. When he had to come back, he took his impatience out on me. Maybe that was why he charged me $170/lb. for Freon (I have an older unit). I know the market for this stuff is high right now, and being phased out, but Estes took advantage of my bad situation (this happened in mid July) and raked me over the coals! I've since called other AC companies, and the highest quoted price on Freon was $130/lb. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Need Freon? Don't use this company! They charge $164.00 a pound! I shopped around and found other companies charging $100 a pound. But this is not even their biggest scam. They came out to service our units and told us that we need an expensive repair - $3600 to replace a compressor. The technician talked a good game and almost had us convinced the sky was falling. But we got a second opinion, and learned there is absolutely nothing wrong with the compressor. It passed all inspections, and only needed Freon. And the best part? It's been working just fine ever since. Thank goodness for honest companies and technicians who don't try to scam or upsale their customers. Estes is not one of those companies, in our experience.

I had a very, very poor experience with Estes. While away from my condo, I was alerted about my HVAC line freezing over. My usual technician had no available appintments for over a week so I contacted Estes. A technician came out and contacted me shortly after arrival to tell me I needed a circuit board replacement and that it would cost ~$875 and that he would send a sales consultant to give me a free estimate on a replacement. 3 days later, I had not heard back from him and decided to just go ahead with repairs.

I called on Thursday and was told that since he was close by, he would look at the model to determine which board to order. I asked him to check my ceiling for water damage from the defrosted pipe while he was there. 10 minutes later, I see an invoice saying he couldn't read the label and would look into manufacturing company. Nothing about the ceiling. I called Estes, who said they would ask him to call me back. Friday by early afternoon, I had not received a call so I call again. Estes said they were able to reach him and that he promised to call by 5:30. No call. I call again on Saturday, the dispatcher promised to follow up with me later that day to ensure he called. No call. I called again Monday morning, that dispatcher said she would call in the afternoon to follow up on the part to be ordered and to see if he called. No call.

Sick of waiting, I reached out to Neese Jones. Turns out the board was not broken, but simply had a delay in turning on. So I wasted a week of my time and almost $900 for a part that was not broken. I called Estes to file a complaint and for my service money back and was told a manager would call me. Guess what? No call. Don't use Estes unless you have a very straightforward problem that requires 0 cpmmunication.

I called Estes about an HVAC repair. Tech came out and inspected unit, quoted a repair cost and suggested that I also get a quote for replacement unit since repair was so high. After having a second tech come out to provide replacement quote, I decided to go with the repair. Was called twice by Estes to try to move to replacement but said no. On day of repair, original tech comes in and quickly increases the quote by 75% due to complexities in my unit. I asked why he didn't notice those the first time and his response was ""yeah, that's probably my bad"", and then tried to convince me once again to replace unit by providing an embarrassing $200 discount. Immediately asked him to leave home and called competitor whose replacement quote was over $1000 less. Not going to use Estes again in the future feel like I was just played by them.
