My great-grandfather Difranco came from Italy long ago and worked as a tradesman. Eugene Difranco, my grandfather, lived in Cleveland, Ohio, and was also a tradesman. My father worked with him as a tradesman until 1986, when he moved to California and launched a business in Palm Springs, where I, Dane Feldman, began my journey. Following my grandfather's death, we chose to create a new company in his honor. Erkies Electrical Heating and Air is now a staple in the Coachella Valley. We remember Eugene Difranco with respect.
I’m Dane, and I’ve been in the trade since I was a kid. In 1994, I joined my father in the Coachella Valley, where I refined my expertise in Electrical, Heating, and Air Conditioning. Today, I still serve the community I hold dear and carry on this journey.

Dane and the team are stellar! They go above and beyond and exceed my expectations everytime. I use them for both HVAC and electrical. Their pricing is reasonable and their service excellent. I had two quotes of over $3500 to fix one of the units at my office. Erkie's showed up and hooked up the thermostat properly and the unit started functioning normally. I was charged $85 for the service call and the unit is still working! I won't use anyone else and my company manages over 400 homes here in the valley. Thank you Erkie's!!

Jamie was on time and patient with condo situation and willing go the extra mile for the roof access. I canceled the ""preferred plumbing, heating and AC"" appointment to get Eirkie's"" lower service call cost , earlier appointment and great service. They are on my speed dial for any HVAC service. No doubt about it.

I called this company for a bid when I realized I was getting shafted by another company, they followed up with the original manufacturer of my heating/AC system and save me thousands of dollars as the parts needed were still under warranty. They were friendly, efficient and honest!

I had the same experience as the other 1 star reviewers. I had them come out to fix an electrical problem. I had an awning that when touched you would get shocked. How the fixed it? By pulling the breaker. Well this seemed to cure the problem when my tenant called me a week later and said now there was no power at all to a back room. Called Erkies back out. They said they couldn't find the reason but it was apparent the house needed to be re-wired. I said fine - please get me an estimate and let me know when this work can be done. After 2 follow-up e-mails and 2 phone calls to their office I never heard back. My last e-mail to them was on 08/01/14. A week later - Earl shows up to the house with no forewarning. No call, No Appt - nothing. I asked him why hadn't they responded to my e-mails and phone calls. He says that I never e-mailed or called. Well...I don't know what their problem is with not getting messages - but I certainly saw this as poor business professionalism or management - as I certainly did e-mail twice and call twice - spoke to his office person - Wanda. Told him thanks but no thanks. If his company doesn't have the business professional awareness to respond to phone calls, e-mails etc then it is a good reflection of the type of electrical service they would provide.

Zero stars if Yelp could have taken that entry. I'm not sure how these people stay in business based on my experience. The only reason I called them was due to the high Yelp ratings. Nobody I know has ever used them - you can draw your own conclusions on that..
I called them to set up a time to give me an estimate for a full new HVAC system at my home. We arranged a day and time. They did not show up. I called after the appointed hour to understand what happened. The person who answered the phone (with whom I had spoken to book the appointment) indicated she had the appointment noted but it didn't show up on the schedule. And apologized. Ok, anyone can make a mistake once. All is forgiven.
We then made an appointment for the next day. If you were a business you and you know you screwed up on something, wouldn't you be extra sure to ensure you got it right on the second try? Well, guess what? We waited at the house during the scheduled time and nobody showed up AGAIN. AND, no call either. I would even do a forgive if they were running late but had called. NOTHING.
If they can't even show up for two scheduled appointments, how could they ever manage to install a system let alone be trusted to show up and maintain it?
There are lots of other hungry HVAC people in the desert who actually call to confirm appointments and show up when they say they will. Watch out Erkies - you can't stay in business long with this kind of performance. .

We are SUPER satisfied with the great service we received from Erkies!
We were experiencing a horrible smell from our clothes dryer. The guys from Erkies came out to diagnose the problem & returned the next day to conduct a cleaning of the dryer duct. The smell persisted and after further investigation they identified that we had a dead mouse decomposing in the dryer- disgusting!
The Erkies team quickly removed the problem, cleaned up the interior of the dryer and returned my laundry life to normal and fresh smelling clothes! Very thankful to them for their quick response, persistence, and their friendly & professional demeanor!

We arrived at our Palm Springs vacation condo to find our a/c on the fritz. Luckily, Erkies came to my rescue. I called and spoke to Dane who assured me someone could come out and at least evaluate our a/c dilemma. Jerry was out within 90 minutes and solved our problem in an inexpensive, satisfactory way! Thank you Jerry and thank you Erkies!!

I have no complaints. Exceeded my expectations!

We called this company based on their yelp reviews. Dane and his helper Fransisco came out to the house. My husband knows electrical and we knew we had a huge problem, but we needed someone small enough to fit in the attic space to find the missing junction box. The addition on the back of our house was wired unbelievably wrong to the point we were amazed the place didn't burn down.. Dane came to the same conclusion that the back of the house needed all new wiring and the project was major.
We liked Dane, and he knew his stuff even though he blew another outlet out and never bothered to fix that, but he assured us he would take on the project and call us back with the total estimate. Well, he never called. After several attempts to call, email and text him he just refused to respond. It's fine if the project was more than he wanted to take on, we get that, but please have the professionalism to call us and let us know. It really is no way to run a business...........

so we arrived at our home in Palm Springs in 108 weather to a broken A/C unit---IT WAS SOOO HOT!!!! We called Erkie's and they came promptly. They were very professional. The first fix worked, but only partially. When we called, they immediately come back out and fixed the problem completely with no additional charge. On top of the great and courteous service, they also called us to check in the next day!! Who does that?!?! They are amazing and I will only use Erkie's for my A/C needs in the desert
