I called this electrician on a Tuesday at 1:15 and left a message. He never called me back. The next day I called my management company first thing in the morning, and they told me he would be out after 2 pm. Again, I never heard from him even though I called at 3 and ask for an ETA. He finally showed up at 5:40! At that point I was already working with another electrician I had hired. When Mr English showed up, he did not even apologize for his utter and complete lack of communication. He knew I had been without power all day. He may be skilled, but anyone that treats me like that is gone!

Like another reviewer, I too was amazed that all reviews aren't five-star. Kim has been here a couple of times since the original job that I reviewed last August last year. One of the recent jobs was to install a ceiling fan in my condo and the other one was to do some work for the HOA -- installing six new light units in the back exterior of our complex and also replacing a fluorescent light fixture in the garage.

My ceiling fan was to be installed in a ceiling that didn't have any light fixture there previously, so he had to break open holes in the ceiling & wall to route the wiring through. He is really meticulous and professional, taking the time to measure the exact center of the room to be sure it was perfect. One surprise was when he was cutting through drywall, he came across a section that wasn't drywall but concrete. He somehow managed to cut through that -- am not sure how! He took pains to cut the holes as small as possible to make it as easy as possible for the drywall person to repair.

Our HOA president was impressed by Kim's knowledge and professional manner and was very happy with the work he did for our condo complex. In fact, she mentioned that she was going to be contacting him to do some work in her unit.

Kim is a Master Electrician and also a C10 Contractor. He is very knowledgeable of all aspects of home remodeling, not just electrical.

I was amazed to see anything but 5-star reviews of Kim, the English Electrician. I first met Kim when he was part of a team installing air conditioning in my home. I was new to the area, and didn't have a list of tradesmen, but I sure knew I would need such a list in the future. As I watched Kim work, I realized that he would be my first call should any electric issues arise.

Since my first very positive encounter with Kim, he has been to my home numerous times, and I have enthusiastically recommended him to friends. He is honest, willing to go the extra mile, and is a highly qualified electrician. This guy knows his stuff. He has helped fix the terrible wiring that was put into my home, and he has installed needed electricity for a new hot tub and my electric vehicle. First and foremost, I know that I can trust Kim to do the right job, not overcharge me, and show up when he promises.

I suggest you disregard one disgruntled reviewer--who apparently produced two reviews for the same job. I guess I could write 6 or 7 5-star reviews for Kim, but I'll keep it to this one. He is a gem, and once you use him, he will go to the top of your list also.

We hired Kim to do some work on our family home and he didn't complete everything. We would pay for each day of work at the end of day and when we asked about the incomplete work he argued, ""I don't do work that doesn't need to be done."" But I'm the customer, if I want it shouldn't it be done? It was basic work to instal more circuits in the bedrooms. After arriving late & working for 4 hours he gave excuses as to why we didn't need more power to the other rooms. He doesn't answer his phone and his voicemail box is full.

Kim is amazing! He's done an immense amount of work on my home ranging from recessed lighting to a full electric panel overhaul. Kim is collaborative, professional, punctual and very reasonable with his pricing.

Kim takes a great deal of pride in his workmanship and ""we"" (that means you too...haha!!) as customers benefit greatly from this!

Believe me, you won't be disappointed!!!

I would give Kim 10 stars if I could. He is an amazing electrician!!!! He has done multiple jobs at our home:
Rewired the entire house, installed new panel, replaced and added recess lighting, installed ceiling fans, installed the new garage door opener, added outlets in the backyard and tons more.
He's honest, professional, has tons of experience, great ideas and does excellent work. He very clean, neat and is very good at explaining the job in detail to you. I would high recommend him to do any job large or small. He is a blessing.

Note: Writing this review on behalf of my father who doesn't use technology but he was so thrilled with Kim's work he asked me to leave a review.

My father has been fixing apartments for almost 40 years. A few years ago, he met Kim for a job. After that job he threw away all his other electrician contacts. He spoke so highly of Kim stating he is the most professional person he has ever met in his construction field. He is always on time. If for some rare reason he is going to be late for an appointment he will call and let you know. He doesn't take any shortcuts, he takes pride in work. It is hard to find someone who take so much pride in their craft nowadays. Kim is one of those people who only accepts the very best.

Kim was the best! He totally saved our butts when we needed a last minute inspection during our escrow. We were nervous that our panel was super old and would need to be replaced. Kim made time to help us, drove all the way out from Torrance, and was super gracious and cheerful the whole time. Best of all, he declared our panel good to go. He is super knowledgeable and wants to do right by his clients. He's not about making a buck off panicky new homeowners, even though he probably could've. We really appreciated his help and will definitely call him in the future for our (I'm sure many) electrical needs.
