Yoni is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and your go-to electrician. I hired him to take down and put up two light fixtures in our old (1908) SF apartment. He was unable to do so because he found old gas pipes in the ceiling, which need to be addressed by a plumber. He also checked some other old sockets to see if they were live. Yoni was here about thirty minutes and I was happy to pay him for his time this morning, but he did not accept payment because the original project wasn't able to be completed. I am grateful to have the knowledgeable about how to move forward with the project safely and I wholeheartedly recommend Yoni at Empire Electric.

Yoni installed a ceiling fan, which required assembling it from the shipping box and also changing the existing outlet box for a fan-rated box. Seeing his other reviews, it looks like he can do most anything electrical, and do it well.
He's easy to work with, communicating via text and arriving on time, even on a day it rained heavily. I asked for a fixed bid, but he charges by the hour and said that would cost me less. He was right based on other bids I received.
Yoni deserves his 5-star reviews. He understands the simple secret of doing good work and being reliable. It's who he is. Highly recommended.

Yoni was great. I told him about the electric problem and he was able to quote me the rate over the phone. His rate was very reasonable. I contacted him in the morning and he was able to come over later in the afternoon. He was responsive. I agree with other people that it was hard to find a good independent contractor. I am glad I found one now.
