Alex and team were great! We had a very small job (replace track lighting in kitchen with recessed lights) and they were in/out of my house in 3+ hours. Alex was very polite, professional, and now after reading such positive reviews, wish I had a much bigger job for him to help me with!

Working with Eminent - wow. These guys not only saved our ass but did it on budget, within quote and 3x as fast as the previous guys we let go.

Alex the owner was very level headed and easy to work with. He exhibits great tact and problem solving skills. Solutions to difficult problems were addressed, easier to implement, professional looking and had user functionality considered. My input was always received well and without ego.

He worked with our schedule. Either Alex or his crew showed up on time and always put forth 110% effort. This is something i highly appreciated after dealing with the (nicely put) much slower and less detail oriented (professional crew) drawing out the job to make more $.

His crew member, Kong was fun to work with. I was around for part of the sfh rewire and Kong did much of the work i was paying 3 other guys to do formerly.

At first i was concerned b/c Eminent cost the same as the previous crew i let go with a larger team. But truly Eminent's pricing is of a competitive tier and a testament to the confidence, conviction and proficiency of a quality team. Literally Kong did the work of 3 people in the same amount of time. When he needed support, Alex or additional crew were there. Kong was able to balance a multitude of tasks that a home rewire demanded, keeping busy and working hard in the brutal attic heat. He took direction well from his boss Alex. He's knowledgable and hard working.

Kong's tag line is ""its easy!"". This way, when he said ""its not so easy"", it was clear what we were dealing with. 90% of the time all i heard was, ""its easy"", and man, i consider those things, HARD. At the end of the day ""its not so easy"" was always completed with all daily goals per usual, on time and on budget.

Finally i'd like to say i truly appreciated the level of integrity and sincerity. Eminent helped us in what i felt was a tough and trying time in our lives. They could have taken advantage but always took the higher road while the crew and their level of integrity exhibited the same. Irony struck when i learned 2 others I work with hired them and had nothing but overwhelming goodness to share. On a final note, Eminent carried me all the way through inspection with full service. The level of quality work was echoed as the inspector unsolicited, commented on these points.

And

with one giant felt swoop Eminent laid the foundation of safety, removing exposed, arcing, fussy Kobby Tuby from the loins of this oldy but goody single family home. With vigor I'd recommend them to anyone. In fact moving forward I don't ever want to deal with anyone else.

Alex was quick to answer my call and come over for an estimate. He listened to my requests and went through the various pros/cons for a speaker installation wiring options. He and his coworker went above and beyond trying to avoid punching extra holes by going through the ceiling can lights. The work we had done was: replace 3 lights, change a bathroom fan and install 3 sets of speakers in the ceiling and outside. The price was very reasonable. I definitely would call him and his team again for future electrical work.

In early July, I needed to install a 240V charging station in my garage for a Nissan Leaf electric car. I contacted Alex and he came to my house the next day to evaluate the project. Since I had decided that I wanted to use the Juicebox (240V 40A) charging station, I emailed an Amazon web link of the charger to Alex. After Alex accepted the project, he gave me a quote. Then he was actively working on it. He was responsive and answered questions patiently during all our discussions.

He and his coworker were polite and knowledgable. The project was unexpectedly more complicate than we thought. Thus he gave me a second quote for replacing the old circuit breaker panel and for bring a new independent line (8 gauge) to the garage. Alex and his coworker got the project done beautifully, all in two visits within two weeks. The charging station has been working perfectly the past four weeks. I recommend Eminent Electrical highly.

Alex was a great find!! I needed to get a couple bathroom fans replaced - one was a completely different model / size in one bathroom, and another fan that was supposed to be a plug and play replacement but actually had some differences that made it more than an easy install. Alex came out and put both fans in quickly, patched up the drywall since the first fan needed some cuts, and cleaned everything leaving us within just a few hours with two new fans. Price was definitely reasonable. I'd hire him again!

I hired Alex and his team to do a complete upgrade of our first-floor electrical (getting rid of knob and tube, and then bringing everything up to current code), and they were great to work with! Very reasonably priced. Started and finished the work on the timetable Alex provided in advance (which is not the norm from my experience working with contractors), which made it so much easier to plan life around the work. The workers tidied up at the end of each day and made an effort to minimize the inherent mess of the work. And knob and tube work can sometimes require cutting into walls to get to the wiring, but they were able to REALLY limit the amount of damage to the walls; only had to cut into the walls in a few, small spots and patched them up well. Alex was very responsive and helpful through the whole project (even on a holiday weekend when an urgent need came up). All in all, I was impressed! I would use Alex again and would certainly recommend him.

I've used Alex three times. Each time, he performed the work in a timely manner, with a high degree of workmanship/quality, and at a fair cost. What will keep me calling back, however, is that meaningful bit of extra value that I received on each visit. He saved Halloween night by promptly addressing my mid-afternoon call to fix failed electrical sockets. Another time, he modified the mounting posts of several external lights in order to install them where I wanted. The last time, he performed all of the administrative work with the city and PG&E on my behalf. I found my go-to electrician!

I have had Alex and his team do multiple projects at my home and in every case I have been completely satisfied. On the first occasion he installed new LED lighting throughout my house and I now have improved lighting and lower electric bills. He did this at a lower cost than other bids I received. Subsequently he has replaced my electric panel, completed wiring for sump pumps, and added additional lighting to my home. All of this was done cleanly, effectively, and at a reasonable cost. In addition Alex has always been respectful and answered all of my questions, has shown up on time and completed the work as scheduled, and provided me good advice on the work. I will bring all of my future electrical work to Alex.

We needed a 240 volt line in the garage for our new Tesla. When we called the electrician that Tesla recommended on their website for our area, they gave us a quote that was unexpectedly high. We were thinking of just using them anyway because they had good reviews on Yelp. But after seeing the reviews on Yelp for Eminent Electrical that were even better, I figured what's the harm in at least getting another quote from these guys. Wow are we glad we did!

Alex was extremely responsive through text messaging, and he came by the next day to look at the electric panel and the distance to the garage. He then sent me a quote later that day that was 1/3 the cost of the other quote! I was a little skeptical, but the reviews were so good that we decided to give them a try.

They had an opening come up a few days early, so Alex called and asked if we wanted to take it. Since we were in a bit of a hurry to get the work done, we agreed. He and his worker spent several hours installing the line. Since we were still a little skeptical that they were going to use quality materials, our general contractor took a quick look at what they were doing and confirmed that not only were the materials the right ones, but they were doing the work the right way. After talking with Alex later, he did confirm that they were doing quite a bit of work installing these lines for electric vehicles.

So if you are thinking about making the switch to an EV or just need any electrical work done in your house, I would highly recommend Alex and Eminent Electrical!
