He easily replaced our GFi outlets and smoke detectors after a power surge and has gone above and beyond in replacing our fan outlet. 5 star service for Eric @ EM Electric. Eric is extremely professional, knowledgeable, timely, and honest. He replied promptly & came to our house for an estimate. We scheduled a date and he arrived on time. He was very careful with our walls, paint, etc. He cleaned up everything and explained all the repairs. His pricing was reasonable, too. He even went above and beyond by removing some old lights in an overgrown bush out front. I highly recommend him!

We hired Eric for a complete electrical upgrade on our recently purchased home - built in 1961 with original electrical panel. He performed a complete re-wire of my home, grounded all my outlets, upgraded my main panel, and installed a subpanel in my garage (plus plenty more). This being our first home, he walked us through the whole process from pulling the permit and dealing with the city inspectors to helping us navigate through all the new energy efficient lighting requirements.

Given that our finances were tight having just closed on our home, it was a relief to have someone not try to upsell us. Instead, Eric gave great advice on how to keep our costs to a minimum. Having heard my fair share of horror stories from other homeowners going through this process, it was a relief to have someone you can trust.

I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Eric and EM Electrical. I have a light timer in my garage that went bad some time ago and I am just getting around to fixing it, I did a little research and found that the timer cost less than $100.00, so I had a starting point. I knew any additional costs would be for labor.

I first asked for some bids on yelp and most of the responses indicated it would be a minimum charge of 1 hour. Everyone had their own labor rates, so the price varied. I also called Powell Electric, who promptly sent out a technician to check the job, He explained that it was a fairly simple job, Access was easy, the wiring was fine and all that was needed to was to change out the timer. When I asked for a price he called his office, The office quoted $450.00. I was shocked and surprised. The technician could not provide a breakdown of costs, and would not provide a labor rate. He just stated that was the cost. To be fair to the technician, he agreed it was a ridiculous price, and refused to charge me the $75.00 inspection fee, which I greatly appreciated.

After he left I contacted Eric and explained the job, He provided a written bid to do the job for $200.00.. The bid included a breakdown for parts and labor. We agreed to have the repairs done the following day.

Eric was on time to do the job, Very professional. Once I authorized it, he began the work and was finished well within an hour. As we started to finalize payment, Eric told me that the timer I had in the garage was an exterior timer, which I didn't need. He installed an interior timer and the price dropped by $25.00 to a total of $175.00

I was thoroughly impressed with Eric. I will call him again if I need to have electrical work done.

I've hired Eric for 2 jobs now and have been very happy with the results.
The power to my pool pump was not working, my home warranty sent out a contractor that gave me a extremely expensive estimate(They chagred a flat rate, no real estimate of the work) that ended up not being covered by the warranty even. I had a second electrcian come out and take a look but he wasn't sure how to fix the problem and said he didn't have the time.
I then called EM. Eric came out, gave a very resonable estimate and I hired him right away. He came out to do the job and kept in constant communication with his discoveries. He found the problem quickly and fixed it well within his estimate. He put the original contractors to shame.

I then hired him for a second job of installing some outdoor lights. I got the same great service again. On time, communicates well, does good clean work, and is always straightforward with me. This second job ended up being tougher, but I got the same great service. Any price changes were explained well and felt very fair.

Happy to have found EM and highly recommend using them to get the job done right and fair.

I hired Eric to hang two chandeliers in our home. I couldn't be happier with the job he did! He started off hanging the chandelier in my living room and we ran into a problem with some of the hardware that was provided for the chandelier. I was concerned we were not able to get it done but Eric found a way to make it work. You can tell when someone really knows their craft when they can problem solve on the fly! If your looking for a professional, smart & affordable electrician look no further.
