Watch out!! if you're seeking an access control quote be warned, it took them over a month to send me the quote and I had to hound them to get it. When I finally received it the quote wasn't even accurate plus they were super high. Like rip off high. Given this i would say steer clear of their other security services

I was referred to Mike. I explained the situation and he offered to change his schedule the next day to take care of me if no one else in the company could. I gave Jana a call in the morning and a couple hours later I had someone on site. The whole experience was great, they made me feel like I had used them 100 times instead of it being the first time. Boo and hiss! Yesterday morning, a driver for this company was very aggressive entering Ben White. Gave me the old revenge cut-off after trying to squeeze me out. Turn-signals be damned. I hate to think what kind of electrical work comes from someone with little regard for the safety of others and such a... Short fuse!

The outlets in my kitchen were wired incorrectly when I moved into my home. I was going to replace them myself but, like any DIY project on an older house, it turned out to be more complicated than I thought. (seven wires per outlet?! I'd never seen anything like it.) Rather than risking it, I checked Yelp and gave Elk Electric a call based on the previous review and their proximity to my home. My experience could not have been more different than the other reviewer's.

I explained the issue to Mike and asked if we could schedule a late afternoon/early evening appointment (I start and finish work early). He said that he'd look at his schedule and give me a call the next day to arrange a time.

He called me shortly after 7 the next morning, during my commute, and asked if it was a good time to do the work. I said no and reminded him that I preferred afternoon appointments. He asked if noon was okay, and I asked if the work could be completed in less than an hour because I would have to run home on my lunch break. He assured me that it could and scheduled me with one of his employees at noon.

10-15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time the employee called to ask if he could head over soon. I told him that I was already at home waiting for him and that the longest I could be gone was an hour and a half, so if he could get there quickly I'd wait but otherwise we'd have to reschedule. He assured me he'd be there soon and I got back to waiting.

He finished the work around 1:30, and I was charged two hours of labor. I challenged it, since he hadn't arrived until after 12:30, and he said that he had to charge for the driving time to my place from downtown. Total cost for replacing three outlets? $200.36.

The final icing on the cake came when the check I wrote that day wasn't cashed for over a month.
