I was very satisfied with the work done by Electrify My Home. We hired them to replace our gas wall heater with a heat pump as well as our gas water heater with a heat pump water heater. We chose them because while they were not the lowest bidder, their prices were fair and they sounded the most knowledgeable about the engineering behind the electrification process.

The actual installation of the heat pump and the heat pump water heater was very smooth. The team was respectful of our space and did the work effectively and efficiently. Although the work was done in May, I actually waited until December to post this review because I wanted to see how the system held up in multiple seasons. I am pleased to say that it runs like a champ, and that my winter PG&E bills have gone from hundreds of dollars to tens of dollars. I fully recommend Electrify My Home.

I HIGHLY recommend Larry Waters and the Electrify My Home team. After getting quotes from multiple vendors for a heat pump HVAC replacing an old gas furnace, here is why I picked them:

-EXPERTISE: the founder trains contractors on how to do home decarbonization/electrification. He leads webinars with PG&E and others to train people. It's kind of like picking a doctor - if you find someone who teaches other doctors - you know they're good.
-MISSION ALIGNED: their goal is whole home electrification, not just swapping out an appliance. The founder is very savvy about this stuff; he's not just a guy with a truck, he's really smart and thoughtful about optimizing everything for quality and not just putting in a bigger unit than what we actually need. Other vendors quoted a relatively large unit and didn't seem to provide this level of alignment.
-LISTENING: In their intro call, they took time to listen to us and explain everything. The virtual-first intro call was also very convenient.
-PRICING: Reasonable
-PERMITS AND REBATES: They are in-network with BayREN and TECH Clean CA
-RECOMMENDATIONS: They were recommended by a colleague

The job was completed in a week and they also coordinated with the vendor for asbestos removal around the old furnace before they started work. I plan to work with them for other #homedecarb projects as well including replacing a gas water heater with a heat pump water heater and installing an induction stove.

Absolutely fantastic experience.

I interviewed several companies to install a brand new, whole-house heating and cooling system. From the get-go electrify my home was by far the most impressive. They had a a very comprehensive and coherent presentation that laid out all of the options they provided and why they felt that they were ideally suited to provide these services. On top of that, they turned out to also have the lowest bid of the three companies I was working with (I would have gone with them even if they hadn't been the cheapest - it was just a nice benefit).

They were communicative and on time. On top of that, everyone I dealt with (sales, installers, billing) were just genuinely nice and delightful people on top of being respectful and professional. The work was clean and, as far as I can tell, well executed.

The heating system works like a charm and I am super happy with the entire experience. I highly recommend them for any heating/cooling needs you might have.

Larry & team were responsive, professional, and super compassionate in doing work in our home. They replaced a gas water heater and a gas furnace with heat pumps. The physical locations were tricky to navigate and they did an excellent job, even working within a really wacky schedule (thank you!!). I appreciated how they talked me through everything - how the technologies worked, how to maximize their efficiency to keep our bills down, etc. And they did a great job of navigating the rebate process so that I got all the rebates I was due. Definitely recommend working with them!

This is a great company to work with when you're ready to install a heat pump HVAC system! They were very responsive, professional and great to work with. And their prices are reasonable. They are full service helping you with the permits and rebates. The heat pump they put in works great and will save me a lot of $$ on my PG&E bill. I highly recommend them!

We had Electrify My Home install a heat pump and hot water heat pump, plus they also added some blow-in insulation in our attic. All of the work was very well done. We had issues with the thermostat, and they quickly reinstalled a new one (and an upgraded one for no charge). They also handled all of the permit and testing that was required. Their bid was also very reasonable compared to the two other HVAC companies that we had give an estimate. Overall, I would highly recommend them -- super knowledgeable about options and the new heat pump works great: much quieter than our old gas furnace and MUCH cheaper to run.

I highly recommend Electrify My Home to anyone looking for a top-notch heating and cooling solution. After a headache of constant appliance failures in our new home (dishwasher, washer, and garbage disposal), we were at our wits end when our furnace also died within the first month. My husband had just come out of the hospital at the same time, so having working heat was paramount.

Then came Alex and Larry to the rescue. Within minutes of describing the scenario, they came up with a gameplan to help us with our insurance company, provided an estimate over email, moved around their schedule to accommodate our job, and provided us with free electric space heaters for the days in between so we would stay warm. The crew was clean, efficient, extremely hard-working, and polite. Unlike most of the other contractors out there, they also insisted on having their projects tested by a third-party and getting permits--both of which passed with flying colors. Our zoned heat pump is working flawlessly; we're so happy to get off of expensive propane heat and offset our AC use with our new solar system.
