Electricwork Solutions
Company Overview
If you seek top-notch electricians in Oakland, CA, don’t hesitate to contact Electricwork Solutions Inc. Our experienced professionals are here to tackle any electrical challenge, big or minor.
After spending many years in the electrical field, I launched my own contracting firm in 2005. Most of my clientele consists of local businesses, homeowners, and property managers who come to me through referrals from satisfied clients.
I paused my business for two years to work in the public sector, but I realized I preferred engaging directly with clients and applying my skills in both commercial and residential projects to resolve their issues.
Introducing Electricwork Solutions 2.0, committed to boosting customer satisfaction and expanding our business by reaching out to both existing and new clients while building a stronger online presence.
References to Suzie Chan and Electric Works or Electricworks may appear; these are my past names, but my business is now Electricwork Solutions, and I am known as Valerie. Don’t hesitate to get in touch for a no-obligation estimate for your electrical work.
Having over 30 years in the electrical sector and 10 years of business ownership, I am ready to help you.

Valerie and Mayumi was just here today and they found the best way to solve the problem. They are so nice, professional and price was reasonable, much cheaper then the other dude.
On top of it, I feel so much more comfortable to have women working in my house when I (female) am home alone.

Valerie and her assistant were knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Hired Valarie to inspect and change out multiple outlets in our apartment. She was friendly, affordable and fast. Would gladly hire again.

I am so pleased with Valerie's work. She replaced several light fixtures and installed recessed lights and ceiling fans. Very professional and helped me in making decisions. I would definitely go back to her for other electrical jobs. While I didn't get another quote, I found her price to be reasonable for all the work she did.

Valerie was great. Efficient, had all the necessary equipment and materials with her and very straightforward. Great communication. Highly recommended.

We worked with Electricwork Solutions twice on projects and were happy to re-hire them. They replaced 18 or 19 aging light fixtures in our aging house, and advised us on hardware choices and energy conservation. Ms. Chan came when she said she would, and finished on time (impressive for a rehab type project that included some surprises.) We came back to her to replace four exterior fixtures. She understood our needs and was very reasonable and flexible. Even when it's a small project, it's great to have a pro deliver quality results. I appreciate the work they do in the community, too.

Valerie is the best! She is a licensed electrical contractor and really knows her stuff. Valerie is extremely professional and has a strong work ethic. She is punctual and communicates well, and her prices are very reasonable.
I have an old house (knob and tube) that needed numerous electrical upgrades. She added 3 outlets to each bedroom (originally each had 2 which were not grounded). This necessitated cutting through plaster walls which was done with a minimum of mess. Valerie was very respectful of my home and space. I was having a lot of other work done at the same time and she coordinated with the other workers and insured that things ran smoothly with as little disruption as possible to the electrical service. She added outlets in the bathroom and a light in the closet. Non-grounded outlets throughout the house were exchanged for GFI, and she installed an outdoor motion sensor light.
The biggest job was that I needed the entire electrical panel upgraded to accommodate solar panels. Valerie is extremely knowledgeable about all the PG&E requirements in addition to the city's regulations. She explained things to me every step of the way, did a lot of creative problem solving to make everything work out perfectly, and gave me options that saved me money.
Valerie goes above and beyond the scope of her job. For example, when I had to move my computer to another area of the house, she hooked up some lines so that it would work. After the ceilings were painted, she helped me reinstall the celing fan blades which she had not taken down. She even signed up to be a PACE loan contractor for me so that I could finance the panel upgrade through the PACE program along with my solar installation.
I highly recommend Electricworks Solutions if you need any electrical work done on your home, big jobs or small.

Valerie is an excellent licensed electrician who is also an Oakland local! She has done several projects in our home including successfully trouble shooting our weird electrical work (we have an older house). She has reasonable prices for quality work that I know I can trust.
I particularly like Valerie's style because she is punctual, logical, and explains the issues in a way I can understand. This is key because there are more and less expensive ways to go about fixing a problem and I felt like I could make an informed decision. She is also very respectful of our home. It is great to have a contractor create a quality finished product, while working around our newborn and the place looks great when she is done.
She also may have saved our lives or at least our health by finding a gas leak under our house. Yikes! We didn't smell it. She suggested we call PG&E for free and it was fixed an hour later :) Extra kudos for that!

Suzie has done a number of jobs for me over the years, from installing an earthquake shut off valve for gas, to fixing other electricians mistakes, putting in new overhead lights, installing outdoor porch lighting, she even recommended and installed light timers that track the sun. When other electricians told us we needed 20k of work on our 100 yearold craftsman, suzie was able to tell us what absolutely had to be done now for safety and what could wait. Ive used 4 big companies over the years until i found suzie, was disappointed in them all. Suzie shows up on time, she does the job right the first time and does it for a good price.

When we bought our house, our inspection showed that we needed to replace the main panel. We had Suzi do this, and while we were having an electrician in the house, we came up with a laundry list of electrical updates we needed, including a new LED downlight over the shower, a ceiling fan, half a dozen outlets inside and outside the house, and a new porch light.
Suzi was great and used the fixtures we provided (like the ceiling fan and porch light) as well as sourced the downlight, etc.
I still have some drywall patching I need to do along the panel because they were not identical sizes, but Suzi left the right size pieces, so I should be able to patch & paint when I get around to it. :-)
It would have been nice if she could have arranged for that, but she's not a GC, so it's fine.
Prices were reasonable, and the upfront estimate is exactly what we paid.
I will definitely use her again if and when we need anything else, and I recommend her to my friends.
