not the most complex job, but got done in fast/reasonable rates.
local to my area, and i want to continue to use local when I can... in future...... (not that I want/or seek more electrical work for home, but will be repeat customer if need arises)

Valerie Chan is awesome! I recently purchased a home in the Oakland hills with a rental unit below. Both needed some electrical upgrades. She is very busy but made time to give me an estimate. She is very knowledgeable and has had years of experience. She fit me into her tight schedule and completed my job just as promised. The job was more complex than we anticipated, but she was able to sort out the wiring issues and figure out what needed to go where. She is prompt, neat, organized and very efficient. She even took care of a couple small additional tasks that were not part of the original bid. I find her prices to be very competitive and her service is top notch!

This review isn't for any actual service. We never got that far. We asked for a quote, and even after several emails back and forth over the course of a few days with one line questions, we still didn't get any answer or any idea of what her baseline fees were or when she could come out. We gave up and decided to go with another electrician who contacted us directly and cut out the run around.

Valerie is very knowledgable, trustworthy, and reasonable. What more would you want in an electrician? She replaced a number of old receptacles with GFCI, ran a coax cable through our crawl space so it could go behind the TV instead of being a tripping hazard in the living room, added a conduit from existing circuit in the backyard, and helped install a porch light with old wiring with a handy timer. I will hire her again for all future electrical needs. Highly recommend!

Valerie was excellent. Arrived on time, was friendly and provided excellent work installing external outlets. She helped trouble shoot some interior outlets that weren't working correctly and explained what needed to be done. She and her helper were also kind enough to help move my heavy grill which arrived while they were working. Will def hire again when we have electrical issues.
