Electrical Wiring Solutions, Inc. is a family-run business that has proudly served Flagler County since 2001. Mark E. Smith is a third-generation electrician. Upon finishing high school, Mark worked full-time as an electrical apprentice for his father's firm, John S. Smith Electrical Contractors, Inc., while attending four years of electrical trade school. In 1990, he became a Journeyman Electrician. In 1999, Mark passed his State Certified Electrical Contractor's Exam with a score of 92%, a challenging feat.

In the early 2000s, the new construction industry in Flagler County experienced significant growth. Unfortunately, customers with smaller jobs often fell through the cracks due to limited contractor availability. In 2001, after a year of careful thought, Mark transitioned from his father's business, which primarily catered to new construction, to found Electrical Wiring Solutions, Inc. to serve the service needs of our community. We are grateful for the guidance we've received, the clients we serve, and the relationships we've built over the years.

Mark has called Flagler County home since 1978. He began his electrical journey in 1984 as an apprentice, became a licensed Journeyman Electrician in 1989, and earned his State Certified Electrical Contractor license in 1999 before founding Electrical Wiring Solutions, Inc. in 2001.

Mark wed Jarnette Leverett in 1989, and together they have eight wonderful children. In our family-run business, every member contributes. If you call our office, you will probably hear Jarnette's voice, who oversees all administrative duties. The older boys are acquiring knowledge in different areas of the trade, which will benefit them for years to come.
