Set up: First of all, I'm so appreciative of the yelp quote process. I actually thought I was requesting contact and a quote from one of the electricians I found on Yelp, but they sent my request to the top 5-rated electricians.

I was looking for someone to replace the bathroom fixture in my parental's bathroom (they took care of me, I take care of them now ;)) that went out a couple days earlier--I had no idea it went out until they kinda mentioned it.
Anyhoo, I tried replacing those long pole light rod bulb things and the lights only flickered. I needed an electrician. I know, those box lights are so awful, but I'm not ready to do any overhauls during this pandemic time.

The first one to respond (early bird gets the worm) was Electric Heroes. Since they were so forthcoming in their response, I gave them my consideration. After reading all the reviews (Yelp, well done) I decided the go ahead and fully engage. I think I was communicating with the owner, but he was very nice, not pushy. He asked the right questions and did not belittle my lack of ""electrician-ese."" He asked me what time and day would work for me, yet still offered that they were pretty much immediately available the next day according to my schedule. Again, I like that this was up to me and not them.

I got a virtual estimate for them to come out and do the work. I went to Home Depot and picked up the appliance myself (Hint: do this, if you can. save $$ and you can see what you're getting)

They sent Bryan for an 11am appt. He called me around10:15 that morning to ask if he could come earlier. Of course!

Brayan was a pleasant, engaging, and did not mind me sticking around to hover a bit. I appreciate that. And he was masked up!

The installation was quick, clean, and best of all, IT WORKS NOW!

I paid on the spot, they emailed my receipt. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. If there were more stars to give they'd get them.

Very responsive. I tried calling other places but they either didn't respond or couldn't see me for awhile. They called back right away and came over two days later. Kevin was very professional and fixed the problem quickly, which was a broken circuit breaker.

I had Electric Heroes install a NEMA 15-40 outlet for an electric car (which entailed a new main electrical panel to the building). There were some slowdowns, but not due to Electric Heroes, just the regular issues of contract work, inspections, etc.

When Electric Heroes found out that San Leandro requires an additional permit for EV chargers, they got a subcontractor to make the appropriate architectural drawings and file the permits. It was expensive, but that's just the overhead of permits and inspection and stuff. Electric Heroes made the process almost painless.

They did make a mistake where they installed the outlet upside-down, which I was a bit surprised at, but hey, mix-ups happen. The important thing is that I gave them a call and they were there within half an hour to put it right.

I contacted Electric Heroes through Yelp and almost instantly got a response. They started by arranging an appointment with me for a virtual estimate for my job request, installing additional electrical outlets in my 2 bathrooms so that I could install bidets that required power.

Idan was quick to respond during my appointment and gave me an estimate based on some videos I sent to him over Whatsapp. I reached out to few other electricians for estimates but only 1 other place got back to me. I had to follow up with them after the holiday as they didn't get back to me, but Electric Heroes was always reaching out to me to make sure I got the help I needed.

They sent me an estimate over an online portal (through text message and email for convenience) that makes it easy to view the estimate, pay the estimate, and ask questions. Their infrastructure for their customer portal and notifications/reminders makes it extremely easy to interact with them during Covid. This definitely shows their professionalism as they have things in place that I did not expect. It also explains at what point in the process payment is required and breaks that down into percentages for each stage of the process, which I thought was fair.

When it came time for the work to be done, Jesus showed up to my door. He had his mask on, was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. Jesus listened to what my wife and I wanted and he provided his professional input to ensure what we wanted was inline with what was the best way to do it. We agreed with his assessment and plans and let him execute on said plans.

After Jesus finished the work, he walked my wife and I through what he did, showed us they were operational with his GFCI receptacle tester, and explained what he did at our breaker box. At the end of the job, Jesus said I could pay online through the invoice or write a check to the office. I paid by credit card online immediately after he prepped all of his tools and left.

I forgot to mention this but Jesus also respected my wife's request to not wear shoes in our house, if possible. He also came in with plastic covers to protect the area where he was working from debris and cleaned it all up afterwards. We appreciated that very much. He was very understanding and we were both very happy with his service and work ethics.

If you go with Electric Heroes for your next project, I highly recommend asking for Jesus to be your electrician for the actual labor and work. You won't be disappointed! I'm glad I did!

Our technician Kevin arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, clearly explained the fix, and implemented the solution efficiently. Having never hired an electrician before we were quite nervous about the unknown and hopefully won't need to hire another electrician soon, but if I do, I'll be calling Kevin and Electric Heroes.
