My wife and I had just closed on a house and contracted Electric Brothers to update the electrical work on our new home. Our home inspector had recommended Electric Brothers to us. They were very easy to communicate with. This was my first time working with a contractor at this scope. Thankfully the team was professional and accommodating to our questions throughout the whole process. I had a huge list of work I wanted done on the house and the crew were understanding and offered financially flexible options for the work. Early on we had an unrelated permitting issue on the house and Electric Brothers was patient and helped us come up with solutions on how to continue the work on the electrical permit without affecting the other permit.

From the get go Kamea and Isaac came out to do a walkthrough of our home to decide what the scope of work would be. At this point we weren't certain of how we were planning on remodeling the house but Kamea and Isaac offered flexible solutions. They were able to get the permit and started on the work quite quickly. Jose, Jonathan and the rest of the crew got to work removing the panel and old outlets and switches. I had requested some change orders later on and Eric and David were able to accommodate quickly. After all the work was complete, Antonio and Marcos patched all the holes inside and out. The patch work even impressed our inspector and the electric company that stopped by to adjust our power lines. The whole team was great and was willing to offer a ton of great house advice in general.

Scope of Work
The scope of the work included a panel upgrade, moving the panel and adding grounding to the house. We had also extended our powerline above the roof of the house to give our backyard some more vertical space. For the full house rewire, we had replaced all the existing wire with new wiring and relocated many of the outlets and switches. Kamea and Isaac worked closely with us to position the outlets and switches exactly where we wanted them. This included outlets inside and outside. Throughout the process we did have many specific requests but the team was able to pivot quickly without hesitation. Of course this did cause some slight miscommunication in the office but nothing detrimental to the project.

In addition to the rewire work we also wanted to set up the electrical for our future remodeling plans. Jose made sure the circuits in the kitchen would be appropriate for the new appliances we had ordered. We updated some of our exterior lights as well and added additional lighting in one of our bathrooms. Both bathrooms were updated with new Panasonic vent fans. I also requested the wiring to be set up for an electric car charger for the future.

Summary
All in all a great experience! We'd definitely work together again in the future. My best suggestion to other new homeowners for a project of this scale is to align on the specific project goals before the starting walkthrough. Electric Bros was recommended by our home inspector and they were easy to communicate with. We wanted a full house rewire and upgrade to 200 amps for our old home and they were quick to make updates throughout the house and were able to pivot when we made specific requests. We did experience some slight miscommunication between the 2 office guys but overall nothing detrimental to the project. The drywall and stucco repair was FANTASTIC - the city inspector was very impressed.

I would like to start off by saying what a fantastic job Electric Brothers did on my new 200 Amp Electrical Panel. From start to finish they keept there word and completed my project with city permit and inspection. They also did a great job on the stucco repair and paint and I have attached the photos to prove it. There prices are fair compared to other companies that I interviewed. I would also like to thank Eric the lead electrician that worked on my project. Not only was he punctual but also answered all my questions when needed. If anyone needs a reference I would be more than happy to assist with the type of work they performed.

On 9/25 & 26, 2024, I upgraded 28 can lights to LED fixtures to provide brighter and more even lighting of the spaces. I also upgraded 9 old GFCI outlets throughout home and replaced a wall sconce with a more efficient fixture. I intended to add 8 can lights to 2 bedrooms but it wasn't possible due to the inability to securely install the housings in the roof/attic. I appreciated Eric explaining the reasons to me rather than performing a substandard job that I likely would not even have known about until something went wrong. He also expressed his disappointment and not being able to safely give me what I wanted to begin with. Both Eric and his partner were kind, respectful and left no mess behind. I will definitely contact Electric Brothers for any electrical problems or upgrades in the future.

Electric Brothers came by to do an inspection of my electrical panel since I had issues with low power in the house. They confirmed there were no major issues with my electrical panel and even gave a recommendation for a separate issue. The Brothers offer superb electrical services. I had a panel upgrade from 70-200 Amps and addition of a number of electrical conveniences completed this week August 15 2024. Prices are very reasonable, including all electrical, stucco patching, and painting. Of 5 visits including patching and painting, all technicians were prompt, TO THE MINUTE OF THE APPOINTMENT TIME. Inside and outside the house, the patching and painting are undetectable. They matched paint color perfectly. All their work has improved. Plus, the team worked together flawlessly and left nothing to clean up. Everything works! I would hire the company again in a minute.

I found the Electric Brothers on yelp and liked all the positive reviews that they had received. So I called and spoke to Edgar whom gave me a rough estimate via email.

Scheduling was easy. The technicians who came out were very polite, informational, and professional. The work was done in a few hours.

I had them replace 30year old motion lights that stopped working on the front and back of my garage. They also replaced the 30 year old front porch motion light that went out. I had a two prong outlet changed to a three prong outlet indoors.

But the one really big project that I needed done in the back was my outdoor outlet for my above ground pool pump plug-in. It was hanging off of the wall due to a previous yard worker, yanking on the cord of the plug and pulling the outlet out of the wall, that had been installed back in 2018 by somebody else.

So they came and checked the wiring and it was OK and they took that outlet out and replaced it with a better outlet and secured it to the wall. And then I had them change out the huge GFCI plug that was on my sand filter to a smaller one, so it would fit inside the outlets enclosed weather cover.

UPDATE - June 14, 2024: I placed a follow up call and had them come back out two days ago, due to me having to replace my pool sand filter under warranty. The company sent me a new one, which again had that big GFCI plug that I could not open. Edgar came right out & fixed it within 10 minutes.

Great service. I am going to recommend Electric Brothers to everybody I know whom needs any kind of electrical work done. Professionals from the start to the finish and for update/follow-up calls.
