Company Overview
As our name indicates, Elect Electric is the preferred electrician for our clients. We deliver a full-service experience that leaves our clients feeling secure in their choice. We are dedicated to providing top-notch electrical service and repair. We usually operate within established structures, improving homes and businesses alike. Our personal aim is to excel in our craft, while our objective with clients is to ensure a seamless experience.
At Elect Electric, we pursue excellence guided by our three R's: Responsible, Respectful, Responsive. Originally known as Ehinger Electric, we began as an electrical construction firm in San Diego, specializing in public works and tenant improvements. My wife and I made the decision to move to the central coast in 2007, seeking proximity to our family in the Bay Area. At the same time, I was developing a new business model to shift my company from construction to a service and repair focus. While we were unaware of it back then, this transition proved to be fortuitous as the construction industry faced considerable challenges in the years ahead. Rebuilding our business from the ground up in a new part of California was tough, yet we are thankful for this opportunity. Having served the central coast for more than 15 years and established a reputation for excellence, we eagerly anticipate many more fruitful years. This place is now our home, and we cherish the opportunity to serve our community!
Being the son of Calvin, a mason, I remember working with him since I was a child. Later, he shifted to general contracting, where he built a variety of homes. I carried bricks, blocks, and cement, assisting him with whatever he needed. I helped him with home construction, and I think I drilled my first electrical hole at the age of 7. Truthfully, I came to dislike construction as I aged and wanted to explore different avenues. While in college, I started a job with an electrical contractor that was initially intended to last only three days. I performed well and finished the job in just a day and a half. He told me I could keep working if I remained productive. I realized I loved the work and had a talent for electrical wiring. Wanting to get married quickly, I dropped out of school and worked full-time as an electrician. Now, over 20 years later, I own my own business, have been happily married for 24 years, and have six children. God is good.

Due to the holidays I was unsure if I could get someone out to the home on such short notice. Elect Electric was quick to respond and was able to come out in 24hrs. David W.I had just bought a vacation home in Paso Robles. After seeing their good Yelp rating. I set up a appointment for when I would be in town for only a couple days. First the work was excellent. My mistake was telling the service tech (Danny) that I had to leave in 2 days. I feel that he took advatage of my situation, in his pricing. That I would not have the time to call someone else. The tech changed me $2,023 for the installation of 2 fans, I provided and the install of 2 outlets. Total time from start to finish, 4 hours, 20 minutes. That works out to $450 per hour and maybe $20 in parts. I asked for an hourly rate, but was told, the price is by the job. It was my fault for accepting the price, but I didn't have time to call another electric service company. I wonder how many more people have been taken advantage of by Danny and Elect Electric.
