I've lived in the Bay Area for about 8 years now having transplanted from the North East. I still find it difficult to find good service providers here. There are just a lot of individuals & companies here that don't seem to take pride in their work or their costumer service. On the East Coast I always knew an electricia plumber/a mechanic/etc that was a 3rd generation service provider and whose reputation meant everything to them. Ash is an exception to the Bay Area laxity in this area. He clearly takes pride in good service. I received his name from a friend when the kitchen electricity in our rental home went out. Our landlords didn't have a go-to electrician and were just going to use the Yellow Pages to find one. I wanted to be sure to get a well respected and recommended electrician so I asked my local friends on FB :) I'm so glad I called Ash that day. It is him you're calling not a receptionist; he handles the contact & scheduling himself. He was courteous, honest, reasonable, respectful and thorough. Not to mention extremely nice! He came out the next day. I'm so glad to have found an electrician that I feel could be our go-to electrician and that I would GLADLY recommend to others. Our landlords also hired him to work on their other properties!

I mean, where does one even begin? Ash and Joel at Edam's are as good as it gets.

We needed electrical work done on our new shop and searched far and wide for a reliable, trustworthy, talented, fast, and affordable electrician. Luckily we found Edam's.

They are always on time for appointments, and they are always incredibly honest about what is a need to do, and what is a nice to do. But they never suggest work you don't need.

They did excellent quality work for us in a very timely, neat, and safe manner. Not to mention very affordable.

They are so trustworthy and knowledgeable that whenever we have any kind of technical work that needs to get done on the shop we ask them for recommendations of other service providers.

Last but not least, we have occasionally found ourselves in a pinch when we didn't have the right tools to get a random small shop job done. We reached out to Edam's Electric for advice and instead they just swung by the shop and helped us out themselves.

Honest, reliable, efficient, and affordable. Also some of the nicest, most polite people we have ever worked with. Genuinely, as good as it gets. They are truly the perfect electrician for any job.

I called to get an estimate to replace some electrical fixtures, fix a non working light and troubleshoot a set of lights which flicker. My call was quickly returned, he showed up on time for our scheduled estimate appointment and gave a reasonable quote. We scheduled a time for the work to be completed, however about 1/2 hr before the appointment he called to say his co-worker called in sick and we would need to reschedule. No problem - except I have not received a call back. Thinking that ""things sometimes happen"" or phone numbers get lost, I left a message to reschedule. Still no response... that was months ago.

I discovered Edam Electric as they were working on my neighbor's house. I noted their phone number and called them for my electrical needs. Ash promptly returned my call and came out for an estimate. He's a very pleasant guy and very easy to work with. They upgraded my exterior breaker box, added an outlet and installed recessed lighting in my bedroom. I was told the whole job would take 2 days. To my amazement, the work was completed in ONE day! I was fortunate enough to have Ash and 2 of his experienced workers do the job from start to finish! Ash really works with you and gives you his input as to what needs to be done without any extraneous recommendations. He saved me a lot of money and time. Do yourself a favor and call this guy. You won't be disappointed. Look no further. Edam's Electric is your go to for your electrical needs. Trust me! I trusted them and I'm satisfied!

Ash is definitely an honest guy! I had him come to my house and worked on 2 projects. 1 was installing a switch and another was to replace the knob and tube wiring I had around the house. Both jobs were done in a quick and efficient manner. We did have a little accident at the 2nd job, but it was fixed and compensated for by the end of the day. Ash is quick and Easy. No BS kind of guy. Getting a hold of him sometimes can be difficult, but he'll eventually return your calls. What can I say, he's a popular guy! I would definitely give him a call again in the future for any other projects I have.

I'm glad I found this place on yelp, and the reviews are dead on! I had my main electrical box upgraded last year. I got quotes from 3 other places before deciding on this place. Ash was very knowledgeable and honest and the price was very good. His team was always on time, very nice, and clean. I now call them for any electrical work I need done. I will definitely use them again!

Quick, reliable, straightforward. I recommend Edam's Electric without hesitation. Ash has been to my house twice now - both times they took care of some basic electrical work quickly and professionally. This last time I had an emergency and he moved things around to come by the same day. If you need electrical work done, you can't go wrong with Edam's. As you can see, most of my reviews are usually negative, that tells you just how happy I am with Edams!

I am married to an obsessive compulsive perfectionist who is untrustworthy of tradesmen and prefers to do all home improvement projects himself. I put my foot down when I was 9 months pregnant and demanding that our electrical work be completed ASAP.

I called a few electricians and my husband found faults with each one, except for Ash Edam. After explaining the work we wanted done -- rewiring the kitchen and doing the main panel -- he took the time to point out other things that needed addressing. He wasn't doing this to drum up more business; he was more interested in ensuring that our home is safe.

Because we liked him so much right off the bat, we requested a quote for not only the kitchen wiring and main panel, but for a bunch of other things, like wiring the garage and adding a sub panel. He did more than that, but honestly I wouldn't even know how to describe it all.

In terms of costs, Ash's quote was very competitive. It wasn't the cheapest, but I would prefer to pay a little more and hire someone you trust. And let's face it, good electricians cost a pretty penny!

Ash and his crew were great. They were always professional, polite and efficient. I felt completely safe with them in my home. Also, when the work was proceeding ahead of schedule, Ash informed us that they would be able to do additional lighting work that we originally wanted (over cabinet lighting) at no additional cost. Unbelievable, I know!

The end result is great. Our home is now safe and our kitchen lighting is beautiful. Ash picked some nice, understated fixtures...I couldn't have chosen better looking ones myself.

One more thing - After I had our son, Ash called just to check in and ask how our new baby was doing. Now that's an electrician that cares!
