Called Ed about some lights that needed to be replaced in my shop in San Rafael. His employee came down the next week and fixed everything as good as new. He was prompt, courteous, and under budget. What else could you ask for from a Electrician? Called 2 other companies that were very expensive and not very helpful with the problem I was experiencing. Ed has my business for Life!!!!! Ed was so helpful and friendly. I called today because the power went out in the kitchen on this cold and rainy Saturday. He knew just by my explanation what the problem was and walked us through how to get up and running again without having to do a service call. He is a true professional with integrity, hard to find these days.

I was referred to Ed through another electrician I use, who was busy on projects. I asked Ed to troubleshoot a line for my ceiling lights. He's a nice guy and did good work, found/fixed the short. Unfortunately he charged me $225/hr, for 2 hours work, total of $450. That's an excessive hourly rate, more than double what many Marin electricians would normally charge.

For some reason it didn't click at the time, I was thinking he did 4 hrs work as I wrote the check.

I was stupid, it was my fault not to get a quote ahead of time (and I know better - doing various remodel projects at my house and ALWAYS get quotes on labor and materials before I award the job).

I still feel like I was taken advantage of in this case, and advise others to always get a written/email/text quote on any work in your home before you commit -- to Ed or anyone else for that matter.

Extremely happy we called Ed!
We had a number of household electrical problems that I was putting off because trying to find a good electrician has been problematic in the past. A colleague recommended Ed Wise and we could not have been happier. He called right back when I set up the project and confirmed the day before. He was at my house right on time, and could not have been friendlier or more helpful. He knew exactly what had to be done and finished the work in record time. He really knows his stuff.. He cleaned up afterwards so you didn't even know he was there and the billing was very reasonable. I wish everyone I dealt with was that good! If you need professional electrical help, he is definitely the person to call.

Ed was great during a recent kitchen remodel which required a new electrical panel on the side of the house and extensive wiring to update the kitchen to modern standards. Ed and his son were efficient and quick. I have since called on him to help withother project and would be happy to work with him again.

Bought an electric car and needed a new outlet in my garage for the level 2 car charger so I called Ed for help. He showed up and wired the new 220v line and had everything up and ready in less than an hour. Great service, very fast and super responsive.
