Irwin Dyson is one of the nicest and most professional electricians I have worked with. He has a great rapport with his customers and treats them with respect and humility. I had Irwin come over to give me an estimate on adding 220 to my garage. He was very reasonable on the price and gave me an estimate on the spot. I recommended him for a job for a warehouse to wire some network cables and i know my friend was very pleased with his work. All in all I have had some great experiences with ECS electrical and will continue to recommend him to anyone who needs a quality electrician.

Forget this guy.
A week trying to get ahold of Irwin and schedule an appointment for repair of a ceiling fixture ended today when he didn't show up for the SECOND time.
We had scheduled a 10-10:30 appointment for today after he failed to show up or call about a 2:30 appointment earlier this week.
When I finally got ahold of him after the first No-Show, he apologized, said he would give me a break on the bill when he did show up, and we rescheduled for 10-10:30 today.
I waited around all morning, spending maybe 15 mins max on the phone but had no ""Call Waiting"" interruptions, and no messages from him.
When he hadn't shown by 10:50, with no calls, I got ahold of him on his cell and he said if I was still interested in having someone come by, he could send a worker--currently on another job in the area-- in maybe a half hour. Would that be OK?
So what was my address?, he asked, and wasn't my project a ceiling fixture? These had only been given to him in every message and every conversation for the past week. Duh.
He protested that he had called me three times and had gotten my answering machine, but I had no calls come in either when I was on the phone or off, and no messages. When I disputed that, he just hung up on me.

My Husband called Erwin on the recommendation of a Realtor in our area. We needed an estimate for an ev charger to be installed so we made an appointment for a Friday morning. On Friday morning, he was a no-show. We called, left messages, and he never got back to us.
Terrible business practice. Not sure why he flaked and certainly not sure why he never returned our ""where are you"" calls.

I recently moved to Pasadena and needed some rewiring and electrical work done in the garage. I asked a woodworking friend for a recommend and he gave me Irwin's number. Irwin was prompt and fair in assessing my needs, and finished the job the next day. He and his crew are professional and do clean work. I will definitely call Irwin for all my future electrical needs.

I had a very bad experience working with Irwin. I scheduled an appointment for him to inspect my house and provide me with an estimate for electrical work.
He was first offended when I accidentally called him Irving or some other variation. Grow up. We're not friends and I've only heard your name spoken once.
Second, he was offended when he discovered that I was soliciting estimates from other electricians. While I understand how that might feel, welcome to 21st century. Consumers are entitled to compare prices and actually do so. The worst part was that Irwin was not only internally offended but also acted out, scoffing and dismissing me. He barely looked around the house and instead asked for my email address to allegedly send me the estimate. It was no surprise to me when he never sent the estimate.
Third, he took the liberty of talking to all the other contractors on-site, who were either doing construction work or there to give me estimates for other services (locksmith, rain gutters, HVAC) and no doubt bad-mouthed me on the spot to each and every one of them.
Fourth, he was offended when I temporarily misplaced his business card. It was in my pocket but he turned his back on me and snidely mentioned that he gave me two cards, in case I lost the first and proceeded to walk away as I patted around to find it.
The sheer immaturity and unprofessionalism from this individual is unbelievable. How he purports to operate a business and attract customers is beyond me.

Fabulous resource! Irwin and his team have helped us several times over the past few months. Main projects included installing new light fixtures and moving a thermostat. They were prompt, courteous, careful, professional, reasonably priced, and very easy to work with. I can't recommend them ECS Electrical highly enough!

Irwin and his group at ECS Electrical are top notch. I've had Irwin's company do work for me over the past 5-6 years doing various jobs both big and small, and they don't disappoint. The company is really responsive, and Irwin has great ideas and elegant solutions.

Outstanding! Work was just completed today by ECS Electrical and I am extremely pleased. The electrical current in my garage outlet was poor. I decided to go with ECS electrical after reading the stellar reviews on YELP. I called ECS and Irwin returned my call within 15 minutes and set up an appt 2 days later. He and his assistant arrived right on time, and he was quickly able to diagnose the problem. Wiring was replaced and another outlet was installed in the garage closer to the circuit breaker. He then said he would check back later in the week, or to call him sooner if any problems. He was also so kind in helping me set up my Homelink. Irwin has over 30 years of experience, incredibly knowledgable, enjoys what he does, and takes pride in his work. I have already referred him to my neighbor. Definitely give them a call.

Can You believe that they can't find short for outdoor light in four hours? They are two people, and they charged me $89/hour. The price may be fairly, but he was on his cellphone for a long time during working, his partner is a nice guy. They drilled three holes for adding outlets, and asked someone came to patch the wall. My painter charged me $20 for patching. However, he wanna charge me over $600.

I cannot even begin to say how absolutely THRILLED I was with Irwin and his crew. If you read any of my other reviews on contractors you will see that I have very high standards. Irwin exceeded ALL of my standards.
I had Irwin come in to replace my electrical panel. It was too small and it was in my bathroom. I found that my fuse would blow frequently and it was because the panel was too small. He came and did a quick repair the first time I called and made a guarantee that if there was any further issues it would be fixed for free. He stuck to his word but eventually I asked to have the panel upgraded and moved into the hallway to make sure it was within compliance.
1) If you call him, he will answer his phone. Literally, I have called him at 7AM and at 5PM and he has always answered.
2) His price is extremely reasonable. I had two people give me estimates and his was far more reasonable and affordable. The price he provided included the upgrade, permits, drywall, and painting.
3) He was here each day with his workers and when he wasn't here he continued to call in to make sure everything was going smoothly.
4) He called me to provide me with updates and when the process was done, he still called to make sure that everything went smoothly with the inspector.
5) He was always on time.
6) The inspector who came to see the work that he did said that he has seen Irwin's work before and he only had good things to say about him.
Irwin's professionalism is refreshing. He is friendly and honest and I know exactly who I will look to for any further electrical work. He gets the work done quickly and efficiently. Usually I feel anxiety when I have any work done in my place or my mom's, this was the first time that I totally felt at ease.
He also has an amazing guy who paints and drywalls, Cesar Garcia. Not only was he fast but he did an excellent job. He even matched paint for me for a tiny spot that had been chipped on accident. He really went out of his way to make sure that everything was done well. Again, it's nice to meet someone who truly takes their work seriously.
