Company Overview

entire home surge protection, updated circuit boards, LED recessed lighting, new construction, remodel, industrial, and domestic, panel upgrades, new service, old federal pacific panel upgrades, GFI's, garden lighting, light switches, outlets, hanging lights, ceiling-mounted fans and additional options.

When I was just five, I had a powerful shock. This occurred more than 40 years back. That experience made me realize I wanted to be a master electrician. I vowed to myself: I will remove all federal pacific panels from the world, piece by piece.

Had an issue with our dishwasher not working and called a local appliance guy out only to find out that the issue was no power getting to the dishwasher. Found EB on some reviews posted on Nextdoor.com. Trying to get an electrician on Friday afternoon was more about who could make the call rather than who I got. Could not have gotten luckier with finding these guys. Julio arrived and fixed the issue - bad breaker, without even turning his truck off. Heck of a guy and #1 service. If you need an electrician look no further.

On 6 June 2015 we had an electrical issue with our home where about half the power in the home was working and the other half was not. I checked the breaker box and the GFIC outlets thinking like most of the time that was the culprit, but that was not the case yesterday. As we always tend to do my wife and I started looking for highly rated electricians on Yelp and found Echeverria Bros Electric, I gave the number provided a call and Julio picked up right away. He asked what the issue was and where I was located, when I told him he said he was working close by and that he would swing by to take a look.

Low and behold fifteen minutes later I get a knock on the door and Julio is there. He comes in, I show him the problem, he immediately went to the breaker box, and through the use of his multimeter determined we were having an issue with the transformer. He gave me the number to the local electrical provider, I offered to pay him for stopping by and troubleshooting but he wouldn't accept it. The only thing he asked was for a bottle of water and a review on Yelp, so to keep my end of the bargain I told him I would gladly do that for him and his company.

Hopefully we keep the electrical issues to a minimum in my household but I can say with 100% certainty if we do need an electrician in the future Julio Echeverria will be the first guy I call. In addition to his promptness he had a great attitude as during the fifteen minutes or so he was in my home we were laughing and he seemed like he was a really good guy. I personally appreciate the fact he's a good natured guy and even though he did not actually perform any service yesterday per say he troubleshot the issue quickly and provided the solution to the problem. It was a quick interaction but definitely long enough for him to represent his company well and to put his business at the top of the list of local electricians for me.

Julio is very nice and knows his stuff. After his team completed the work they came to do at our home (which was done quickly and beautifully) he pointed out a probelm we had that would ""cause a fire if not addressed quickly"". He said if we PAID CASH he would give us a discount. We called another company and sent them a photo of the problem. He said it was the POWER COMPANYS side and would not be our expense. Julio knows his business but his dishonesty is shameful.
We will not call him again.

When our GFCI in our garage suddenly started to trip, we knew it was time to call out an electrician. We used yelp and decided to use Echeverria Brothers based on their good reviews. When I called Julio he was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable about our problem he said he would be out the next day at noon. I waited for him until 12:50 and decided to call him and he was on his way. Would have been nice to get a call or text letting me know he was running late. This was problem number one. When Julio arrived I explained the problem again to him and let him know that my husband had replaced the GFCI and the problem had continued. Without even looking at the problem outlet he went straight to our breaker box. He opened it up and told me that the problem was that our box was out of code and the whole thing needed to be replaced. He originally quoted over 3k but said he we paid cash he would knock it down to $2400. Pretty shady. He then told me I needed a ground wire and that would be an additional cost. I have never had to replace a breaker box, but that seemed really high. I told him I would have to think about it and get back to him. I knew for something that high I should get a second opinion. I called another very good company called Barney's Electric and told him the exact same thing. Barney went right to the problem outlet, realized that it was wired wrong and fixed it in 5 minutes. Also our breaker box is not out of code. I am not sure why Echeverria Brothers has such a high rating on Yelp, but I wouldn't call them for any reason ever!

We hired Julio to do the electrical incidental to getting a new heat pump. When he came over, he discovered that we had a Federal Pacific panel. He told me it was a fire hazard. I did some internet research and found that quite a few homes have burned down as a result of these panels put in houses from the 60s to the 80s. So I hired him to replace the panel along with some other stuff. He is very thorough in his work and emphasizes safety.

Contacted Echevarria Bros. Julio Echeverria scheduled the job and showed up on time. Evaluated and fixed the electrical problem in 30 minutes. Courteous and friendly.

Very prompt. We have a light fixture installed. Julio was in and out in no time. He called me back the same day I called for an appointment. He was willing to come out and work on a Sunday, and if we didn't have some place to be we would have taken him up on his offer. I thought his pricing was great as well.

He is the best, he is responsive, affordable and gets the job done with a great attitude. Most electricians are a racket, charging you trip charges and all that BS, this guy is good, affordable and does it with a great attitude, I HIGHLY recommend him, but don't use him too much we need him for more work on our house!

I couldn't believe it when I called Echeverria Bros in a panic at 10:36pm and Julio actually answered the phone! I was have a phantom electrical problem, and had no electricity to parts of my den, kitchen and dining room. My 75 gallon fish tank was the concern since it needs constant electricity to keep everything alive. Julio asked me several questions over the phone to try to diagnose the problem, and assured me that it could be fixed. He gave me suggestions to get the tank going that night (several extension cords!), and he asked if we could wait until the morning to do the work. Of course! It was after 11pm by then. He and his assistant arrived promptly this morning, and tested many, many switches and outlets to find the problem. And Julio couldn't have been nicer --- good sense of humor, too! They fixed the problem, cleaned up the pieces of wire, and other trash, and charged a very, very fair price. And they wouldn't even think about leaving until I had tested all the switches to make sure everything was working right. I will definitely use Echeverria Bros again, and will pass the word on to my friends. And they do roofing work, too, so they sent their roofing expert out to check some things for me. She said my roof looked great, and didn't need anything done. Who is that honest?? I'll definitely use Echeverria Bros. again.

★★★☆☆

I had a fairly large re-wiring project that needed to be done quickly. Julio and his crew spent several hours in the heat of the summer working on this outside job. I have very mixed feelings about his company, so I will sum them up with my pros and cons.

Pros
Well priced (I think)?
Desperately want to make it right.
Responsive

Cons
Didn't complete the job exactly the way it was described.
Left screws and debris in and around the pool area
Damaged my car, which I was able to nearly correct
Not very prompt

There were several things that happened that you A. May not believe or
B. would just make your head shake. So, the question becomes would I use them again? Probably.
