I had a good experience with a Edgar. Very quick to respond to my quote request and set up a date. Responsive communication by text message. He messaged me he was running late due to car troubles, which was true, unfortunately his truck had to be towed. He gave me a good ETA that he stuck with and showed up in his personal car. He did the work quickly and efficiently and even cleaned up the mess when he was done. I'm happy with his work and I thought the pricing was fair, he charged an hourly rate with a two hour minimum that included the basic supplies. He took car to ask about the finishes of the switches before starting the job. I would personally use him again in the future. My experience with a lot of contractors and handy men, is that they are all flakey because they are extremely busy and in high demand and probably prioritizing emergencies. A good one with a fair price will always be hard to get.

Wow, did we need EC Electric. We were in serious trouble, and EC Electric came to our rescue. In the middle of a house remodel one evening, we started to smell the strong odor of burning electrical wire. We shut off breakers and it got less smelly, but as soon a a light was turned on in another room, the smell came back even stronger. Bathroom lights were twice as bright as they were supposed to be, and lights in other rooms were erratic. We contacted our contractor who said he'd contact an electrician (which turned out to be EC Electric). We shut off all breakers except for the refrigerator for the night. The next day, Edgar & company arrived first thing in the morning. After an inspection of our main electrical panel, he discovered our ""neutral"" BUS bar was badly corroded and no longer ""neutral"" -- causing a doubling of voltage from 110 to 220, even blowing out a GFI in the bathroom. (Extremely dangerous, and scary to realize what might have happened to us if the problems happened while we were sleeping -- we may have lost our house and possibly our lives.) It was definitely an emergency, and when I called PG&E, they told me we had to call the Fire Department before they would come out to inspect their wires. Edgar got on the phone with them to explain the urgency and PG&E showed up in no time. Since the house is over 50 years old, the electrical panel was old, damaged, insufficient and needed replacing. Even with rain threatening at 12:00 noon, Edgar & company promised to stay until it was done. We loaned them a large umbrella when it began to rain, and they worked in the cold and wet till it was dark and completed the job. They returned the next morning to make an electrical (circuit) map of the entire house for us, went on the roof and sealed the weatherhead to prevent future corrosion, and gave us a completely fair quote/price for the work. We're also calling them back to do the new electrical in the kitchen and garage for the remodeled areas. They were professional diligent, experienced, and efficient in completing the job, and also kind and considerate of our situation (which was much appreciated.) We're looking forward to working with EC Electric again.

I contacted EC via Yelp, he responded right away and set up an appointment for the following Monday. Monday morning he messaged that he was running late, he'd be to me in 20 minutes. I said no problem. Never heard from him again. No call, no message, no show. I waited around all day and nada. Don't waste your time.

had them replace a porch light and a loose wall light/electrical outlet switch last month. they did good job at a reasonable price. will hire them again for electrical problems.

Exchanged messages with Edgar over the weekend and arranged for someone to come out on the following Monday in the morning. Morning came and went with not a peep from Edgar or his crew. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and texted his cell and sent another Yelp message. Not a single piece of communication by 5pm that same day. Unbelievable conduct for a business.

I found them through Home Advisor. Set up an appointment at 1 pm at the end of July, but they never showed up. No call, no show!

Luckily, I was able to call another electrician who came to our house within 2 hours.

EC Electric installed a 60 amp breaker for me. Quick response, more than fair quote(and final price!), on time to start the job and complete it. Those are some of the basics that I kinda expect from a professional. Now for what makes these guys great... After installing the breaker, the equipment I was connecting didn't power on. Edgar checked his wiring for the fourth time and couldn't understand what was wrong. It turns out that the equipment I had needed an adjustment to it that I was not informed about. He had done everything correctly, but waited with me until we figured out what was wrong. He could have left once he did what he was contracted to do, but he did not. A true professional that I have already recommended to my family. Book him now, before his schedule gets fulll!
