East Bay Handyman (Nazari) had the fastest response time ever experienced on Yelp .. probably answered within 5 minutes. I hired him to repair a drywall ""repair"" (removal of bee colony in ceiling and wall). His price was reasonable, he was flexible to my schedule, was prompt, neat and cleaned up after himself. I wouldn't hesitate to have him back for anything else that needs handyman services. Note: keep in mind I did not have Nazari sand down the spackle; I only hired EBH for the initial patch.

I hired Nazari to install a through the wall air conditioning/heating unit and its wall support sleeve. When I removed the previous AC unit, I discovered that the existing wall opening was slightly too narrow for the new support sleeve. Nazari also helped to widen the wall gap. Cutting through the existing gap was a difficult process, but he was able to get it done pretty quickly. It took him three hours to widen the gap, and to install the support sleeve and AC unit. His rates are pretty reasonable. I was charged $300 for the project, which I feel is fair for three hours of intensive labor.

Our dryer vent was loose; Nazari was the only handyman that was punctual enough. We even made trip to Home Depot together to get the things we needed.

I contacted him, and the next day he was ready. He installed 4 of my ventilation fans in three bathrooms. The works were tricky because they needed attic access. The fans themselves were large - he did a good job installing them all. I recommend him - his price is quite reasonable too.

Replace mechanic with Handyman and you've got Nazar. At ease from the start, I found his quiet confidence with detailed explanation and approach comforting.

Da Scene: Been procrastinating on removal of an old wood burning stove in our covered patio since last year, when the roof area where the stove pipe goes through the roof started leaking during heavy rains... Nows the time, enter Yelp! and East Bay Handyman!

Da Work: Quality, quick, courteous, and good value is a great combination. What I wanted was the stove & pipe removed, and the roof repaired; leak-proof. When complete the only evidence left was the stone wall and footing, from the roof outside, like it was never there! After a few days to cure I hit the roof area with the hose and doused it well, no leaks... but the real test will be the next heavy rain, fingers crossed.

Da Service: Nazar was fast to respond and quoted reasonably after a thorough inspection and confirming expectations. Labor was quoted up front with any materials reimbursed with receipts. No deposit or retainer - that always was a warning flag for me - if an outfit needed $$ upfront. After removal of the stove, he assessed how he would approach the roof repair and took off for Home Depot.

Starting mid-day, the work was complete by sunset, work area cleaned well, inside and out. Nazar took pictures at each stage of his work, I took before & after shots.

I've got a few more projects and won't hesitate to call Nazar when I'm ready to move forward. Hiring contractors can be stressful, this was not that, felt informed from start to end!

This handyman is very serious about the job. I hired him to replace a kitchen exhaust hood and a built in microwave oven. He had run to home depot four times to get the most quiet hood and best fitted microwave oven for the cabinet. It was very nice work he provided. It was a little time consuming, but he is willing to make efforts to accomplish the job.
