From my first call speaking with receptionist Jennifer to set up an appointment, to the repairs performed by electrician Rafael (he made it look so easy!), and to Jennifer's follow-up call after the job was completed, my husband and I were so impressed by the professionalism and skill displayed by this company and its employees. I quickly recommended this company to my son, who just purchased a home of his own and who might need electrical repairs in the future. This company is fantastic. We came back from vacation to a smoke detector that would not stop beeping in our master bedroom. We could not sleep and needed an electrician to take a look at it. We called East Bay Electric and talked with Jennifer about our problem that morning. While their crew was busy, she managed to squeeze us in and got our smoke detection fixing in no time by lunchtime. I have been planning to install an EV charger outlet. I am an avid DIYer and originally planned to do this work by myself. Due to various reasons however, I decided to find a reputable business who can do this work for me. In short, East Bay Electric has been wonderful from the beginning to the end. To begin with, I wanted to pull a permit, and this company was essentially the only one (among a dozen I contacted around) that was happy to consider this with a very reasonable additional cost. Jennifer, the office manager, took my request (of several pages long LOL), and communicated to Roger, the owner of this business, efficiently and friendly. Roger has been extremely helpful: he patiently answered all the questions I had until I completely understood, be it paperwork related items or technical details. He would happily spend an hour in a single call to make sure we were on the same page, without any rushing or pushing. He has been considerate of my budget and made recommendations that may even decrease the price point. At this time, I decided to delay this project a bit (since Roger pointed out something I didn't take into account), but based on my interactions with Roger, I'm sure they are always striving for quality and will not cut the corner, something I really appreciate as a homeowner. In addition, Roger and I happened to have a long discussion on non-work-related topics, and I realized that he is a kind and honest person.

I have been wanting to install new cabinet lights in the kitchen for a few years. I have contacted about ten electricians. A few never called back, some said they were too busy, and a few got as far as coming over or looking at photos, but said they didn't want to bother with the project because it was too complicated. Finally I found East Bay Electric. From the first conversation with their extremely nice office manager, Jennifer, it was obvious that this company stands above all others. She listened to exactly what was needed and asked useful questions. She was very apologetic that they were so busy, but offered me the first available appointment a few months away. This was fine with me. She explained the process and fees very clearly.

Two great guys, Rafael and Abel, showed up for the appointment. They immediately knew what to do to get the best results with the least amount of invasive work. When Jennifer called later to confirm what we wanted, she had all the details from them about exactly which parts were needed. She gave me information about the vendor websites so I could see for myself what they might order. She kept in touch during the ordering process and offered me an appointment to install the lights as soon as possible.

The same two guys showed up to do the installation and finished everything beautifully in record time. There were a few glitches with parts not working properly with others, so they came back later and replaced some things without even charging me. Who ever does that? We are so happy with the results and the process ended up being much less complicated than other electricians had led us to believe. They are now on my list of all-time favorite companies.

East Bay Electric is my go to for all electrical work from now on. I've had them come out twice now and both experiences were great. They did a LOT of work (basically rewiring most of the home) for me, and were quick, affordable, professional and friendly.

We bought a home and had them come in to inspect the electrical and then rectify the issues they found. They were able to fit us in immediately and got the work done before we even fully moved in. They worked with us to do prudent upgrades around the house to make everything work for us and what we wanted.
