Edward has been our electrician for about 9 years. He has upgraded electrics, added outlets, installed ceiling fans, etc. He is now working on our remodel.

My house remodel required a new and repositioned electrical box along with updated electrical wiring throughout the whole house. Upon meeting Ed, we went over a detailed walk through of each room and understanding the layout of lighting and switches. I was very impressed with the amount of detail that was going into the layout. A lot of times I would just refer back to Ed for his recommendation and where the best placement would be. I didn't realize how much detail goes into the planning of electrical switches and outlet locations. Ed made suggestions upon future possible locations and lighting which I appreciated very much.

There were times when the information and decision making was way over my head. And Ed was more than happy to revisit the information and details at a different time. The great thing was that Ed's work is so detailed and precise we passed the electrical inspections at different points of the remodel with no problems at all which is a huge plus. This saved us time in the process and did not delay other parts of the remodel. Now living in the house I can see why Ed asked a lot of questions about placement of switches and outlets. The simplicity of the locations of the switches and many outlets has made it easier. And Ed is very detailed about his craft such that every screw for each cover plate is all facing the same direction and the plate is all level and flat. These are the details I appreciate. He is down to earth and easy to communicate with, I strongly recommend Ed for his experience and detailed workmanship.

I have already reviewed EG Electrical, but am updating my review because I found out my review was ""filtered"". If you're wondering why 28 out of 30 reviews (all positive) have been filtered, it's probably because the owner hasn't payed Yelp for advertising. I'm sure this review will get filtered too. None of my other Yelp reviews were filtered; why this one? Yelp runs an extortion racket.

I have known Edward at E.G. Electrical for 10 years, and when my customers need any electrical work done whether for a large renovation an updated panel, or just installing new lighting I refer them to Edward. He is an honest contractor who provides high quality work, and my customers are always happy with his work. He also teaches electrical courses and is an inspector and obviously knows his stuff - what more could you want than a knowledgeable and honest contractor?

Ed took on a solar installation repair where the usual solar installers had balked. It involved warranty repair on inverters. Although he said it was not his typical kind of work, Ed very professionally helped me obtain the replacements and was prompt in installing them when they arrived. He was terrific at staying in touch and keeping me informed on the status of things as they progressed. I now have a strong confidence in his abilities both as an electrician and a businessman. Edward was able to get right to the bottom of the problem--a shorted wire--in less than 30 minutes. He arrived promptly the next day and replaced a cable drop through a conduit, running new wires to the breaker box in 2.5 hours--including a 30 min trip for supplies. Everything is working great. Professional, courteous and knowledgeable: these superlatives I do not hand out willy-nilly. Edward is very good.

Edward is professional, courteous, thorough and is someone who genuinely enjoys what he does - and it shows! His work is impeccable, done on time and competitively priced. We had a full panel upgrade, with subpanel installed in the garage, outside outlets including a built in BBQ and lamp post and full coverage recessed and picture lighting installed in our living room. What he installed was beyond our expectations! He even made provisions for future upgrades. Edward is a hard worker and was great with our pets (including two 12 week old kittens who were quite a handful). We highly recommend him!

This is the second time I've hired Edward to work on my house and again he provided outstanding service. He is a true professional - extremely knowledgeable, courteous and a pleasure to do business with. This last time (the first time he installed lighting and fans) he rewired the entire panel for the house and installed a new circuit into the kitchen with a commercial grade receptacle.
