I contacted EC Building Solutions for an estimate to repair/replace my front door and screen door. Dennis came out (with no mask). He kept talking about warranties (my front door is over 10 years old). He tried to tell me my screen door is fine...until I showed him the damage. He said he would have an estimate for me by the end of the next business day. I never heard from him.

I contacted EC Building Solutions for an estimate on a retractable screen door for my front door. David Creamer from the construction division came by, took measurements and called me with a quote of $650. I priced screen doors and wasn't willing to pay almost $500, above the price of a door, for his company to install it. He then told me that he could lower the price if I included it in a bathroom remodel. Approximately a week later I got an estimate for the bathroom remodel and the price of the retractable screen door dropped to $408. I decided to get at least 3 estimates on the bathroom remodel before I made a decision on what company I was going to go with and found that for the same remodel, I could get a more reasonable price with another contractor. I went ahead and scheduled the installation of the retractable screen door and 2 employees from EC Building Solutions showed up with a door and installed it. I have a 4 inch gap on the bottom/left of the door and a 2 1/2 inch gap on the bottom/right of the door and about a 1/4 of an inch gap along the entire length of the top of the door. It was obvious that the door did not fit properly so I called back to voice my discontent with the door as it was now unable to be used as a ""screened door"" since there were gaps all around the door for bugs to get in. I eventually got Dave Creamer to come back out and look at the door and he stated, ""since I decided to go with the cheaper door, there was nothing that they could do so the only solution was to refund my money"" because ""they wanted me to be happy"". I guess it didn't matter if the door didn't fit, I had to live with it because I went with a ""cheaper door"". I might have gone with the cheaper door but at least I could've got one that fit properly! But again, he offered to come and remove the door and refund my money so I agreed. After another week goes by, I got a call from one of the office personnel informing me that they would not reimburse me for the labor to install the door but only for the door. I sent an email message back asking for a breakdown of the price of the door and the price for labor to which I was told ""Unfortunately, we do not do cost breakdowns. We bid our jobs with the price in whole for the entire job."" So, who is going to make the decision on how much I am reimbursed for the door? Ridiculousness...
In the mist of the delays and email responses, I contacted the company that manufactured the screen door and was told that they sell a door sill plate that's 35 inches long that will take care of the problem at the bottom of my door and I was willing to purchase weatherstripping to go along the top. The 35 inch door sill plate was a grand total of $14.21 to fix the problem but David Creamer of EC Building Solutions never bothered to find a REASONABLE solution, he wanted to cover the gap's with ""tape"" but other than that, ""there's nothing else we can do about it"".
It's been almost 2 months now since all this drama started and still waiting on a response on what EC Building Solutions is going to do. So very glad that I decided to go with another contractor for my bathroom remodel as I can only imagine how that would have went.

Hired through amazon home services to install an ecobee smart thermostat. Ken, the installer showed up at my house and had no idea what he was doing. He had never installed a thermostat before and told me he typically only does ceiling fans, etc... ken did not know where to start and had to call the manufacturer to see how to start. It took him over two hours and 40 minutes to install the thermostat which included blowing a fuse at my house which is further proof he had no idea what he was doing. He never tested the system to see if it worked and I subsequently had to watch videos, call the manufacturer and see how to fix the system. All information says a DIY person (not a professional should take 10 minutes to 40 minutes to install a smart thermostat) which is further proof the incompetence. I have now spent hours trying to fix the thermostat as well as hours fighting and arguing the charge in an attempt to get my mo year back on the $125 install charge. DO NOT hire this company. Not qualified and has no interest in refunding my money for their terrible work.

I have used EC Eectric several times after using multiple electricians at my rentals properties. They are always quick, fair and professional. I am very glad I found them!
