Duke installed an EV charger at our house. He did a wonderful job and explained to us all of our options first. Very knowledgeable electrician and was honest. Also, he was reliable and on time. Price was very reasonable compared to other places. I definitely highly recommend Duke to anyone that needs an Electrician. He's the best out of everyone in the Bay Area.

We recently had an electric car charger installed, which necessitated a panel upgrade from 150 amp to 200 amp service for our home in Saratoga. We chose Duke Electric to do the work and we are extremely happy with the result. Duke is experienced and organized and conducted this very complicated process perfectly. He told us what was going to happen and at each step and it went just as described and on-time. Also his team members are great: hardworking, knowledgeable and friendly.

His team visited 3 times for the purposes of the electrical panel upgrade:
1. First visit 2 weeks ahead of the upgrade to open up the stucco around our old panel so he would have time to find a larger panel to fit in the same area between the studs with minimum impact to our wall and roof
2. Second visit one day ahead of the upgrade to do all possible prep work
3. Third visit the day of actual panel installation which involved coordinating inspections by PGE and the city and turning the power off and on

Since we are working from home, Duke brought a portable generator for our wifi and PCs so we could keep working during the hours the power was off.

The upgrade went so well that we asked him to come back again to do more work around our house including replacement of fluorescent can lights with LED can lights, installation of another electrical outlet and replacement of some bathroom vent fans and light fixtures.

At all times Duke and his team bent over backwards to make sure we got what we wanted. Just one example - was the LED can lights. Duke put 2 types in his bid, one type for the kitchen and one for the bathrooms. I thought the number of lumens per fixture in the bid was too low in comparison to the fixtures they were replacing. Duke thought I would find the ones in his bid appropriate and I would find higher lumen fixtures to be too bright. He wanted to make sure I was happy so he brought all 3 types (the two he recommended and one with the lumens I thought I wanted) and temporarily installed them in the same room in our home so I could see them all at the same time in comparison to my old fixtures and make a choice. Of course he was completely right!

We will continue to call Duke Electric when we need any electrical work done in the future.

Awesome electrical team! My cousin is an electrician so we'd normally go to him but sometimes getting on his schedule is tough. I called one of Duke's competitor's first and it took 2 months for him to get back to me with a quote - he eventually ghosted me - for the installation of a ceiling fan in our living room.

Finally called Duke on a Wednesday. He picked up the phone immediately, asked a few simple questions about the job, and I had a rough estimate and promise to return my text with a finalized quote and appointment time later that day. That afternoon, I not only had a quote, but he had also scheduled his drywall guy to patch up the holes his team would have to make immediately following their work.

Two days later, on Friday his guys showed up promptly at the promised time. They were friendly, professional, wore masks when requested, super clean and meticulous in making sure to cover all our furniture and rugs. They completed the work in 2.5 hours and it looked awesome! Ceiling fan worked great and no mess.

The drywall guy showed up 30 min later and was also professional and clean (drywall is messy so this takes extra care).

I paid everything through Duke via Zelle. He was a pleasure to work with and would absolutely use his services again. His price was more than fair. Great to have a back-up electrician that's local and clearly takes pride in his work!

Even though I did not have him complete any services/repairs he was able to come out to get me an estimate which was a very competitive price compared to others that I had received quotes from. Duke will be the 1st on my list once I am ready to perform my upgrades. 10/10 will recommend!

Duke and his team removed and installed two ceiling fans and troubleshooted another fan with a sloped ceiling that was not level. He was fair and honest about what could and couldn't be done to fix the previously installed ceiling. He did a great job overall. Highly recommend .

Duke and his team completed everything on my wish list. I received other quotes and I consider Duke's quote to be fair, if a little lighter on details initially than I like, but he filled in the gaps after asking for clarification. I like that Duke's team took pride in where to put the new subpanel, outlets, garage lights, etc., to make sure everything was neat and symmetrical. The County smoothly signed off on the new breaker box and 220V outlet, which we'll soon be using for an electrified vehicle.
