He was professional and courteous and I will definitely call him again for any electrical needs. He even tried to fix my 30 year old commercial meat slicer by replacing the cord and testing the components. I also thought his pricing was fair. He is a one man band however so I would not get upset if he does not contact you right away. While he was at my place, he was getting calls constantly. He said he had just gotten back from spending spring break with his family and almost regretted it!

Don't understand all the glowing reviews.... I guess he's a good electrician IF you can get him to do the work. I left THREE messages over several days and never received the simple courtesy of a response. Noticed another woman had the same issue. Hmmmm.... Sexist electrician? Maybe.

I was impressed with the reviews. I called and sent an email Monday. It is now Thursday and I haven't heard a word. I'm not in a hurry but I need a company that is more professional than that. Update: my voicemail and email did not get to them somehow and I have now been contact with an appointment today! Great! Will continue to update.

What a great experience! William is a stand-up guy - honest, super helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable.

The backstory: I had a ceiling fan that the light stopped working on although the fan worked fine. Being a little handy (I installed the fan myself a few years back), I took the ceiling fan apart, checked all the wires for any loose ones, and replaced the chain switch but still no luck, so I threw in the towel and called a few electricians to get quotes.

The first two companies I called were both nice and both wanted to schedule an appt right away. One charged $130 for the first hour of work with a slightly reduced rate after that, and the other charged around $110/hr plus a traveling fee.

Then I called Duhon and spoke to William. He immediately suspected what turned out to be the issue and told me how I could fix it myself since he knew I already had the fan apart and had been working on it. He spent several minutes explaining in great detail what the issue most likely was and how I could fix it. He even told me I could send pictures to him of the fan if I had any questions on what I was doing. Seriously, who does this? He went out of his way to save me time and money, which I greatly appreciate.

I will be using Duhon Electric for all my electrical work from now on, and am recommending William to all my friends and family.

The guy was courteous and mindful to be quiet with two sleeping babies, work seemed affordable, and work seemed competent (though I'm not a professional so I wouldn't know). On the downside, there was some confusion about appointment day, and he threw out an old light fixture with a CFL bulb still in it, which is not how to properly dispose of such things.

Excellent work. Very friendly and informative. Unlike most of the contractors who show up at my house, he was not in a hurry. Also, he charged me less than what he quoted. I would highly recommend William.

We are remodeling our master bath and I called William back to help us out. He installed all the new lighting and wiring that we needed. I have to agree with others, not only is Williams price good, he does great work and communicates really well and helps you stay on schedule. We will be remodeling the kitchen next year and I will definitely call William to help with that.

I got quotes for some electrical work from a contractor referred to me by the Home Depot and also called up William Duhon of Duhon Electrical (after checking his reviews on Yelp) to install 2 ceiling fans, replace a circuit breaker in my garage, and install two GFCI safety electric outlets in my garage and kitchen. I chose Duhon's because not only was his quote less but because of the fabulous reviews he has received on Yelp.

William arrived exactly on time for the job, and quickly and professionally did all the work I had requested, and cheerfully answered all my questions (I always have LOTS of questions :) I highly recommend Duhon's not only for their reasonable prices, but highly professional work. William is also an interesting guy to talk to! In summary, I will DEFINITELY call Duhon's if I need any other electrical work in my house again.
