William came by today to install several lights to highlight some paintings in our home and refit some old can lights in the kitchen. He brought his crew, Ben and Raoul to assist in this project. They did the job efficiently and with great fan fare. The banter was hilarious as was the fact that Raoul didn't like anchovies on pizza. Ben, who I think is 9yrs old, was a budding apprentice and was polite when he addressed me. After everything was installed, the lights didn't work. I blame this on Raoul who blamed it on Ben, who intern held William accountable, but after awhile, we realized it was actually my fault for wanting new lights in the kitchen in the first place. This is how the day progressed, it was fun and the job was completed on time and in the manner I wished it to be.

With that in mind I would say todays experience was excellent, marvelous, magnificent, superb, fine, wonderful, superlative, exceptional, first-class, first-rate; informal, great, terrific, tremendous, super, amazing, fantastic, sensational, fabulous, ace, neat, killer, crack, A1, awesome, bang-up, skookum, out of this world; smashing, brilliant, remarkable, extraordinary, exceptional, striking, eye-catching, arresting, impressive, distinctive, unforgettable, memorable, special, momentous, significant, notable, noteworthy and generally William is an all around good guy.

After trying to be DIY electrician I found myself needing help! I called Duhon electric and explained my situation he explained over the phone how to correct what I did, he said it's an easy fix but offered to come and take care of it if I didn't feel comfortable. So since I had a few other issues I asked him if he could fit me into his schedule the same day and he did! Once he got to my home he fixed the issues and even gave my husband and I a quick tutorial so we we could do the rest ourselves if we wanted to! William and Raul were fast and professional. I have a few other projects that will be calling them for. It was very reasonable in cost and they exceeded my expectations in customer service.

The light in our guest bathroom mysteriously went out a few days ago, and after some unsuccessful tinkering on my own with the light switch circuitry, I turned to trusty ol' Yelp. Duhon seemed to be a no-brainer, and I gave them a call. I got William on the phone, and he explained how to check if it was just a broken light switch. I tried it, it worked, and now I can just go up the road to Lowe's and buy a new switch. Even better, now I know who to call when I run into bigger electrical problems. Thanks so much William!

UPDATE (10/16/15): I had further issues with an outlet in the same bathroom that I thought might be related to the light switch I changed out. I contacted William and again he very patiently gave me advice on what the issue might be (and got it right of course... he knows his stuff). I can't say enough good things about this guy!

Wonderful experience with William Duhon! He fixed everything on my list and many things I thought he would not be able to . Prompt, professional and caring. Fixed my crazy timers that have stumped other electricians. Highly recommend!

So I'm giving 5 stars to a company who actually didn't do any work on my house. Why? Because I can replace outlets myself. But, when the breaker is off, but my pen-style volt meter is telling me there is still electricity flowing, I get a bit concerned.

I called Duhon to ask if it is something I was concerned about. The person who answered let me explain my situation, diagnosed the problem, DIDN'T TRY TO SELL ME ANYTHING, and was very courteous towards someone who was basically asking for free advice.

Based on this alone, I would recommend these folks. Combined with their other reviews, I think it's a no-brainer.

My tenant didn't want to wait for several days until my regular (great) electrical people could get to her apartment (electrical to her fridge was out). So, after a bit of on-line research, I accidentally stumbled onto Duhon. I called early morning with a small electrical problem, and left a message. Within about 5 minutes, William called me back. From that point, everything thereafter was great. He was able to get to my issue within about 4 hours (called ahead as promised), was prompt, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably-priced. I'd never used this company before, but manage numerous rental properties, and WILL be going back to them. Bottom line = HIGHLY professional, responsive, and superior service. And after 30 years as landlord, I know that this exemplary type of repair service is increasingly difficult to find. William was a fair, no-nonsense, efficient, and helpful professional; I highly recommend them.

I just called William and asked him to check two outlets that stopped working in my place. He actually took the time to help me to check the problem over the phone - it turns out was something simple and he walked me through the steps to solve it. He was very patient and helpful and, to add to the reviews here, honest (he could have come and charged me for it but he did not). I wrote down his name in case I ever need an electrician.
