D'Spain Sales and Service began by Wiley and Lois D’Spain in Texas in 1974, after they took an invitation to take over the climate control, appliance services, and water systems sections from the Langford Hardware and Lumber Company, where he had worked for a decade. Early on, he had an inherent skill for all things mechanical and a true love for wind power, having spent his youth on a property in a local county. She was raised in east Texas and eventually moved to Bandera, TX after a delightful stay one year. The couple had been married for 23 years before launching the business. He performed all of the air conditioning, appliance systems, and well water product sales and support, while Lois D'Spain managed all the accounting practices. Spending nights and time off after her main job, she managed all the financial as well as accounting practices of the enterprise. In her role within the business, Wiley D'Spain encourages and rewards his team for each license they earn. Wiley D'Spain and his team engage in continuous education as well as the government.
