Doug is the kind of electrician we all wish for. He is kind and caring, and isn't just about trying to make a buck. When my breaker popped and I couldn't get it to work, he helped me fix it over the phone. Everyone else I contacted wanted $100 and for me to wait days for them to come. Doug takes the time to allow you to ask questions and learn. He's installed pendant lights, converted plug in lights to pendant lights, installed wemo switches, fixed non working switches, and is currently helping us install under cabinet lights, can lights and replace all old outlets with new outlets. He is also very fairly priced. I have worked with him twice now and absolutely recommend him if you are looking for a knowledgeable, honest electrician.

FIVE STARS! WHAT A GREAT FIND!
I thought I had a short in my bathroom ceiling fan lights, and I needed a new electrician, so my neighbor gave me the name of his electrician, Doug Drube. I called Doug three days ago, got his voicemail and left him a message telling him what I needed. He called me early the next day, we set a date for 11 this morning, he was at my door exactly at 11, he replaced the light switch and he was off in 15 minutes. My job was so small that I was afraid it was too small for him to bother and he assured me that no job is ever too small, he'll come out for whatever I need. He's a really friendly professional guy and I liked everything about him. Doug is now my ""go to"" electrician and I'll recommend him without hesitation to all my friends!

Doug doesn't really seem interested in getting business. He talks about being too busy and needing time off. Most self-employed professionals express appreciation for the business they get. This time around he said he would be back in two weeks because he had to order some items. When I called him five weeks later he didn't seem to remember me. He gave me an appointment and I called him the day before to confirm the appointment and to ensure he was planning to complete all three projects at that appointment. He didn't have my appointment on his calendar and he said he hadn't ordered one item. I knew it was time to say goodbye.

I called Doug and from the very first conversation he told me he wasn't very interested in doing small jobs for individual businesses. I wanted him to install two outlets and do other electrical work in my office. Even after meeting with him for the first time, for the estimate, I felt like he was wasting his time with me. He never gave me a verbal or written estimate and told me when he was going to show up for the outlet work. When my office manager was 5 minutes late opening the office he left a message that I should call another electrician. I think I'll do just that.

I bought an older 6 plex in 2000 and Doug has helped with all my electrical upgrades. As a retired General Contractor, I can say that Doug is one of those rare individuals who works very fast and clean, is very knowledgeable, and prompt with his scheduling.
