Long Story: I'd been helping a friend gets bids for work on some remodel work she wanted done on her new home. While I personally had not had Warren perform work for me, he and I were in a networking group together for a few years and I had heard testimonials from others who had and got to know Warren from our weekly meetings. When I was asked to get bids, he was the first call that I made.

The Bid Process: I talked to three people - Warren, another electrician and a general contractor (there was other work needed so why not). The other electrician was a tool! Had to beg give to give me a bid and was just an arrogant ass as he was doing it. The GC gave a fair bid but I wasn't getting the warm and fuzzy that he knew what he was doing. While all the bids were similar, Warren gave that little extra effort in answering my questions, explaining options and also going the extra mile to make recommendations to save time and money.

The Work: The day the job was to start, I pulled up to the house 10 min early and Warren was waiting on me. PROMPT. We did another walk through and review of the project and work was started. My friend needed two bedrooms wired for ceiling fans with the associated wall switches, added electricity for lighting above a closet, added power for a new microwave, needed power over the fireplace for a flush mount TV, and additional lighting in the vaulted kitchen ceiling. The ""other guy"" said the walls would be tore up in order to get the power needed to all the locations. The drywall repair actually needed was so minimal the painter needed to rebid the job because she over bid based on the ""other guys"" input. Minimal mess and it was all cleaned up prior to him leaving. Even the screws on the new switch covers were perfectly aligned. PROFESSIONAL. Work started at 10 am and, even with re-walking the job, install and clean up, done in one day! The recommendations he made help to achieve my friends function and decorative lighting goals on time and under budget. He asked questions about the TV install and cable which made it easier for the AV guy to do his job which I found so thoughtful and proved Warren was not just there for his piece; he cares about the entire project. PRICELESS!

After the Sale: Work was done on a Friday. Saturday morning, it was discovered that the week old gas dryer was not turning on. After reading the manual for trouble shooting and checking plugs and breakers, I text Warren to ask ""any ideas?"" We was quick to reply and provide not only suggestions on what to check to make sure it was not a power matter but also provided a referral for an appliance repair person if needed.

The ""Piece de Resistance"": The Monday morning phone call to see if the dry issue was resolved, SERVICE AFTER THE SALE!

So, if you haven't figured it out by now, Dr. Sparks ROCKS!

DISCLAIMER: The only, ONLY, thing that could remotely be considered bad about my experience was that we had to wait a week to get on Warren's calendar. He gets booked FAST so you may have to wait but I PROMISE it will be worth it.

I've gotten quite cynical about quality and competence in the workplace. But Warren and his co-worker are a throwback to bygone days and have renewed my faith! They are fantastic--personable, prompt, dependable, and responsible. Their work is superb, and they helped us out with a complex problem that my usually extremely handy husband simply could not solve. They were also very friendly; it felt as if friends had come to visit. They even sent us a thank-you note after the job was done! Who does that?! I don't know how the price compares to other electricians, but I thought they were very reasonable considering their expertise and all the work they did. I can't recommend them highly enough. Totally worth it.

My plumber highly recommended Dr Sparks. A technician came by to fix an outlet that wouldn't reset. The outlet didn't need to be fixed and was actually working fine. (The technician told me that some dirt or grease may have gotten into it which caused my toaster oven not to turn on). Dr Sparks did not charge me for the service call. The next day the owner called to make sure that I was satisfied with the service. I thanked him for not charging me for the tech's time. I would recommend Dr Sparks and plan on calling them again the next time I need an electrician.

I had heard lots of good things about Dr. Sparks Electric and Warren Shook.
I was looking for a new place to live and I needed to find a place where I could have my high voltage electric vehicle charger installed. Every time I looked a at place I emailed Warren to ask his opinion on the ability to install the charger. He always replied quickly and accurately.
When I finally moved into my new home I had no hesitation to give the job to Dr. Sparks. The work was done quickly, the installation was neat and tidy, and when I got the bill I was surprised at how reason all and how far below the quote it was.
I've definitely found a new electrician.

This is my first ever review and I couldn't not review the work of Dr. Sparks.

My husband and I give Dr. Sparks the highest of accolades for their work and communication. Warren and his team installed recessed lighting in our kitchen/dining room/hallways/entry way, in addition to correcting a previous electrician's work on the outside of our home.

Everything about Warren was and is professional. From the moment we connected with him (found him online) through project completion, all things were done professionally and the attention to detail was an A+++++. Aside from a call to make sure we were happy with his work (and great communication with us throughout the work process), he also recommended a patch guy (who was fantastic as well), Warren even followed up with us after the patch guy finished up to make sure we were happy with those results as well. The icing on the cake was about 2 weeks after everything was done when we received a postcard from him thanking us for his business and how much of a pleasure it was to meet us and work with us. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE? So refreshing to see top-notch customer service these days.

Oh, and I didn't even mention that in the middle of the process, I ordered a new chandelier for the dining room and Warren came back the next day after his crew was all finished up to hang it for me simply out of the goodness of his heart.

Stand up guy. Top quality work. Team was professional, always on time, cleaned up every day, and were very cordial. A complete professional business all around. Need I say more? Well, other than that he's just a cool guy - someone that you find yourself saying to yourself ""he'd be fun to hang out with.""

I can't say enough about Dr. Sparks (Warren). It is refreshing to find an electrician who loves what they do. Warren treats everyone as if they are his own family member. He takes his time and does it right. He will investigate a situation if he is unsure and stands behind his work 100%. I appreciate his imagination and creativity. Recently, I had a bad experience with a local electric company and I had to have someone else come up and redo everything. This included trenching and running a sub panel to the garage and repairing the outdoor LED lights other company installed four months ago. Warren of Dr. Sparks did an great job, he really was, as his card promises....punctual, professional and perfect . His prices were fair as well. If you really have a nice place and want it to stay that way call Warren. It was really a pleasure dealing with him and he really knows his stuff. He can even install a lightning rod for you if you are so inclined! ( that is my next project!) This guy will never have a bad review because he takes pride in his work!
