I had my old kitchen lights removed and new ones put in this week by this company. I am very pleased! The contractor showed up early, and finished the job in the timeframe given, and even cleaned up after himself. The finished job looks fantastic! Just be aware that the $999 upgrade for 4 kitchen lights DOES NOT include any painting by their team. Once they have installed the 4 lights and molding, the customer is left with some awkward painting. So the picture shown as before and after is inaccurate. If you don't mind finshing their job, then this is the company for you.

Saw the ad in the San Diego UT and decided to have our old 70's kitchen lighting upgraded by Michael J Dove. All we could say when it was done is WOW!!!!
The job was scheduled over the phone with Michael on Monday, and the job was done in half a day by Friday!
Everything was covered and taped off in the kitchen, and the flooring from his truck in our driveway to the kitchen. Not a spec of dust escaped and everything was cleaned up and put in the trash. What a beautiful job and what a difference it's made in the house - should have had it done 5 years ago!
I would recommend this company for any electrical needs - 10 stars!

Fabulous company from start to finish!
Had my old fluorescent kitchen lighting replaced yesterday. Could not have been a more pleasant experience. They came on time..closed off the kitchen area to prevent as much dust as possible...polite...cleaned up everything afterward....my kitchen lighting looks amazing...
Will have them back to do more projects in my home soon!

This company does so much more than kitchen lights! Ceiling fans, dimmers, replacing out old vanity fixtures!

I used Michael J. Dove about three years ago when we replaced our old fluorescent lights in the kitchen with canned lights. Very professional and the team did a great job! When we moved back to CA from HI this year, I called MJD because I wanted to have the house more energy efficient. I had MJD's team install 13 new LED lights in the house and they installed three new energy efficient ceiling fans (I provided the fans and remotes) and dimmers. The fan installation went very, very well considering my ceilings are about 16ft high and sloped. MJDs team installed our lights and fans and did all of the necessary patchwork so I didn't have to hire a drywall guy. The project area was kept very clean and the noise was minimal.

Michael J. Dove is an outstanding company. I spoke with Michael over the phone. We discussed my present kitchen lighting(florescent tubes) and he suggested what should be done in regards to the recessed lighting and crown molding. A few days later, Peter and crew came to do the work. The prep set up was phenomenal. I forgot to mention, I also had the acoustical ceiling over the dining area removed. Installation and clean up were done to perfection. I have gotten so many compliments on the crown molding, I love being in my kitchen now. Wish I could give this business 10 stars, it is the best!!!!

Let there be light and perfection... I'm truly wowed by Michael J. Dove's Team and their ability to transform our ordinary kitchen into a well lit haven. In only a half a days work. It's surreal it's unheard of but it's true, and It happened today in our home! My family and I are so delighted with their work and how quick efficient and cost effective they were, not to mention polite, kind and professional too.

Our kitchen suffered from the standard fluorescent lighting attached to a recessed ceiling. Our kitchen, which we also use as a dining room, is now glamorized! We had a new ceiling fan installed over our dining table. As for the other half of our kitchen, we now have five new circular light fixtures that were installed. Four of the five were put on display higher than the rest and framework was applied around them showcasing the lit area thus giving the new lights a classy and elegant look. A completely new on and off switch was installed along with a dimmer so we can control the lighting for any occasion. To top it off our lights are guaranteed to last 30 years which is unbelievable. Our kitchen is so inviting after heir work and we are grateful! I hope everyone can benefit from this yelp when it comes to home and business lighting repair/installation.
