We were in desperate need of an electrician and I just happen to see this company is truck driving down the 91 freeway. I caught up and called the number on truck. The owner Mike answered and came over to look at my salon job right away. He was very fair with pricing and did a great job. I liked the fact that he was honest and helpful and tidy. We will be calling him again.

He came out as part of a home warranty request, and was great! It turned out to be a simple fix, but he educated me an a bunch of other things around the house. He was kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Mike was personal, professional and quick! We're enjoying the ceiling fan that he replaced!! We will use him again.

I just noticed this response back from Dorn Electric. None of what you wrote is true (never spoke to anyone, mother was never at my home for payment). The issue was only resolved by our bank for fraudulent charges. This proves my point that you are not a trust worthy business and will stand by my original post.

I was assigned Dorn by my home warranty company. Every time I have used my home warranty company, the contractor would call me. I usually got a call within a couple of hours after submitting the issue. After waiting for 2 days, I called Dorn and left a message. Finally they call me and I schedule with them to come the next day between 7 and 9 am. I am told I will get a call 20 to 30 minutes before they arrive. I think with that appointment I am the first stop of the day.
My appointment window comes and goes and no one calls, no one shows up. Nearly an hour and a half after the close of the appointment window, Mike leaves me a message saying he is 5 minutes away. I get the message an hour later and call Mike back. I never heard from Dorn again.
My issue is simple. I have an attic fan that when it was turned on the chain on the switch did not retract, so the switch likely needs replacing. It is stuck on and attic fans are not exactly quiet. 30 minutes after my appointment window I figured they were not coming and stopped being glued to my phone.
The other thing is I work from home and am in the house all day. If they showed up at all, I would not have heard the doorbell because of the fan, but my large dog would start barking to let me know someone was at the door.
This is really a 0 star review since my fan still cannot be turned off nearly a day since it was to be fixed. I know it is a small job, but customer service 101 is to communicate with your customer. Things happen. I am flexible. If you have to reschedule, call me during the time I expect you to be here, not 90 minutes later. When I call you, call me back.

I have just had a very unsatisfactory experience with Dorn Electric. I had arranged for an electrician to come between 2-4 pm. I specifically told the dispatcher not to call me, just come to my home. I waited over 3 hours and no one showed up. I called the office and no on answered at 4:30. Since then I have been told the electrician called me but I don't have my cell phone on my person. Besides the instructions were to just show up. When I complained I received a rude, sarcastic response ending with telling me I must be an unhappy person. How's that for customer service?

Mike Dorn was referred to me by my parents. He has handled their electrical related projects at their home, and I figured I would give him a shot. He did not disappoint!
Mike was reasonable and very flexible when it came to scheduling. He over-communicated his availability and arrived early. He quickly got to work and I had my recessed like fixed and replaced in no time. I also took his recommendation to save me some $ by purchasing a bulb pole extension to replace bulbs really high up there.
Will be calling him for anything electrical in the future - thanks again Mike

Mike Dorn is committed to doing the best job. He works competently and willingly to satisfy his customer, and if a problem crops up, he either knows the answer or researches a solution.

I used Dorn Electric today to install a charger in my garage for Tesl model X P100D.
He showed 10 minutes early to the appointment and text me 20 minutes previous to let me know that he was on his way. The way that he carried himself was very professional. He was extremely pleasant. I have stage 4 non small cell and lung cancer and felt very comfortable with him as he worked and listened attentively to my current journey. At no time tried to push me away so that he could finish job quickly. I needed some help as well with setting up homelinkwith my Tesla so he spent 45 minutes with Tesla to get done and charged no additional fee for that.
I would highly recommend for any work needed. Very moderately priced, great work, Completely cleaned area after he left and total gentleman.
