Good electricians are a priceless resource when you need them. Mike Dorn has been there for me twice now and this week he installed three separate circuits into my garage in preparation for new woodworking equipment i'm installing. It wasn't a complex job for a good journeyman electrician but that isn't what makes Mike Dorn such a great electrician and resource. Sure, he's totally competent, fast and precise with his work but what makes him great is his attitude and willingness to go beyond to get the job done.

This week's work came up unexpectedly because Mike became available when another scheduled job was postponed. He called me and said he was available and could he come over to look at the work I had been planning for him. My garage was not fully cleared out and a wine refrigerator needed to be emptied and moved before he could install the new circuits. He could have showed up and said, ""Give me a call when you have the wall cleared!"". Instead, he showed up and saw what needed to be done and said, ""No problem!""

His partner helped me move the refrigerator (not before we emptied it of all 200 bottles to a safe place) while Mike went to work. The wall needed to be opened up and Mike had a recommendation on a great drywall tradesman and after we agreed, he called him and had him come right over to give me a quick quote. Mike finished all the electrical work using materials he had on his fully stocked truck so he didn't need to disappear for any time to get materials. The job was finished quickly and his drywall tradesman was back too and finished the wall the same day.

I was amazed because I've seen how others handle these projects and it always seems to take twice or three times longer than necessary. Not so with Mike Dorn working the project. Highly recommended for competent, friendly, fast, meticulous electrical work.

Mike showed up all smiles and nice smelling guy and did amazing job. we needed outlet on the ceiling for the camera and gym TV and he did that plus cleaned everything after himself. very pleased. cost was very reasonable as well!

Yet again. Needed a tv hooked up, can't watch tv without power. Mike had to go up into the attic (is a ceiling mounted tv) to run the power and make it look nice so we don't have cables running all over the place.

Started having electrical issues all of a sudden for the last 2-3 months on one of the lines that connect my kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and bath with the lights flickering and at point going off and on. I searched on yelp and had a certified electrician come by to fix the problem. Came out twice and charged me 200 bucks each time with only fixing the issue temporarily since it still was a problem. I looked up another electrician and found Dorn electrician and quoted me a decent price so I hired him. Came out to my house, I explained the issues I have been having and he started checking for issues. Within 5 mins he found the problem and provided a solution. The breaker needed to be replaced. Start to finish was 30 mins and problem solved. It's been 2 weeks now and have had no issues. Thanks Dorn electric.

Mike and his associate were great. He had given me a quote over Yelp messages and then we spoke on the phone in more detail. His quote was very good compared to several other companies I had contacted.
He showed up ready to work and knocked out multiple projects in a few hours. Ceiling fans(one on a very high ceiling), farmhouse light installed on the front of the garage and an electrical socket install in the backyard were taken care of with zero issues.
After he was done, they vacuumed up any mess from the install and followed up with me to make sure everything was to my satisfaction.
I can't recommend Mike and his company enough.
