This is a zero rating!!! I am a property manager and needed an electrician for one of the homes I manage. I called last week and set an appointment for tonight, 10/18. They gave me a window from 5-7pm. Yesterday morning I got a call from the owner confirming they would be there from 5-7 that night. I informed them it was the following day.

Tonight, I called at 7:11 pm to ask how it was going. The owner David informed me his employee was on the job. Then he tried to give me his employees phone number to follow up. WHAT??? I was at Costco, I'm not calling his employee. David called him and returned the call saying he got caught up on an emergency call, he would be there in 15 to 20 minutes. Forty (40), minutes later the electrician called and said he would be there in 10 to 15 minutes. Now I'm mad. This is not only unprofessional but inconsiderate to my tenants who have young kids, it was now 7:50 pm.

I informed my tenants and apologized for the problem. Twenty five (25) minutes later my tenant calls, no guy!!!! I had to call and cancel as it was 8:10pm. I first called the employee, he gave me excuses as to why he was late. I only required that he call me at the time he was scheduled to inform me he was running late, ""common courtesy"". AND that he be honest about the arrival time. With GPS these days, it's not rocket science. I then called the owner in which he tried to"" man handle"" me and talk over me continuously. Unbelievable, he was so caught up in complaining about his employee then trying to once again give me his phone number to call. I'm the customer, what type of business owner tells the customer to call their employee and handle it. David needs to get a handle on his business or possible after 40 years hang it up!!!!!!

Completely useless and rude. The guys rushed you off the phone and is only looking for people that don't know anything so he can screw them over

I had Discount Electric install 2 GFI Switches outside in my backyard. One of the GFI switches that powers low voltage pathway lights worked only for a few days and has not worked since without consist resetting. I called several times to have the electrician Tony return to correct the problem but he has been a no show each time (3) for the scheduled appointments. I would NOT recommend Discount Electric since they do not backup their work.

Electricity went out in both my bathrooms. I called discount electric and they gave me a per hour labor cost quote (I'll be honest it did seem pricey initially) and were able to get someone to my house fast and within the time frame they had told me. The electrician found and fixed the problem (faulty wiring) within about an hour. He wasted no time and seemed like he was focused on getting my problem resolved and not running up the labor charge on my bill. They ended up charging me for one hour of labor and about $20 bucks in parts. I'd use them again, they are up front with the cost and will get your issue resolved asap so your costs aren't too high. Thumbs up!

We made an appointment to have our outdoor light replaced and no one showed up in the time frame given. We call to see if they are still coming and are told that they are on their way. 2 hours later, still no show and and this time, their phone is turned off. We have yet to get a call back explaining what happened and why they did not come. Very unprofessional and we wasted an entire day waiting for them.

All the electrical outlets in my kitchen were not working. The porch light was out as well. David systematically diagnosed the problem with his equipment and our answers to his focused questions. I was impressed by how quickly he identified the problems and completed the repairs. I recommend him to anyone seeking a highly competent and honest licensed electrician.

I live in Discovery Bay Ca. and P.G.&E. had subcontractors out in our neighborhood running new lines to our boxes. They shorted our whole box and it shut off ALL power to our house saying they couldn't fix it until the next day sometime if then. We called everyone because it was late at night we couldn't find anyone. Thank God for Discount electric they came ALL the way out here and fixed our box at 12:00 am and charged us LESS than it would of cost for a electrical company to come out during business hours. I highly Recommend Discount Electric for ALL Electric. GREAT SERVICE for ALL AREAS !!!

I messed up the installation of a USB outlet so I called Discount Electric and David N. (with 30 years of experience) showed up. Not only did he fix the USB panel, he also updated the wiring to code. Very knowledgable and friendly guy.

I had fire in my home, and the power was shutoff by the fire dept while they extinguished the fire. in order to restore power to the rest of the home, I was told that I needed to have the affected circuits isolated so that power could be restored to the rest of the house without
he risk of having power flowing through damaged wiring. The electrician came to my home,
determined what needed to be done, took the time to explain what he was doing and
Charged me a very reasonable fee. what impresse me the most was that this was a situation
where a dishonest electrician could have easily over-charged or 'padded' the job since this situation was new to me. Honesty means so much especially when faced with unfamiliar circumstances.
