In my previous post I THOUGHT the electrician knew what he was doing. Come to find out after $500 later if they really knew what they were doing they would of never had to tear my walls up trying to figure out the problem which THEY DID NOT SOLVE. They came back the next day and switches that worked did not work correctly any more. They did not repair the holes in the walls either! I finally got my regular electrician out here $400 later to fix my original problem and the mess they made of my outlets and switches. My electrician was very busy so that is why I did not use him in the beginning. Next time I will wait unless it is an emergency. Use Discount at your own risk. This was an expensive lesson learn from it.

I had an outage with my power in several rooms of my residence. I looked for an electrician and came across David's Discount Electric. A crew of 2 came over per my request. They had to troubleshoot the problem source, on where the issue was. I live in a home built in the 40's, so it was a little difficult at first locating the problem. With their efforts and tenacity, they found and fixed the problem. I will use David's Discount Electric again, and highly recommend to anyone with any electrical needs.

Pushy, rude, know-it-all--and that was just on the phone! He didn't want to listen and after trying to explain my situation a few times and restating his blurb to show I heard him, I told him I wanted to think about it. He hung up on me. Anyone that has to push so hard to make a sale must be desperate and probably doesn't get repeat business or referrals. AVOID THIS PLACE!

My dimmer went out last night on my chandelier and I had a ceiling fan that was temperamental- the light worked sometimes but the fan always worked, so obviously something was loose. I called Discount Electric, spoke with the owner and he had someone come same day. Everything works well and pricing is reasonable. I would use them again.

I don't waste my time writing reviews unless warranted.This guy was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and affordable. I got an appointment the next day from when I called and when he was running about 10 mins late he gave me a call beforehand to let me know. He came in, and found what was wrong within 10 minutes.

I had Discount Electric help me out with my electrical issue after I had a handy man who ""Thought "" he knew what he was doing. Make things worse after keeping me up for 3 hrs . Told him to leave. I called and had Discount come to my home and they resolved the issue and cleaned up the mess the handy man did. Thank goodness for good electrician and being cost effective too!! Would highly recommend this company!!

Discount Electric is clearly the most honest and knowledgeable Electric company in the entire area. I would say Northern California from Hayward to the Bay area. After 30 plus years in business, David Nuccitelli knows his business like no other. I got several bids ranging from $1200 to $7,200. He came out to Los Altos and immediately just tightened screws and checked everything and realized that I had been dealing with CROOKS. So, to make a long story short his total was under $300. We were told that it was an old panel with aluminum wiring, etc. and hot panel. None was true. He just tightened the screws, checked the whole house and was absolutely BRILLIANT. Smart, honest, fast. Tried giving a call to ask about quotes fixing light fixture.
Not very helpful at all. Sounds like the guy is not happy at all in helping out...
He didn't courteously explain what services he has, what service charge he has. Just trying to preach and doesn't even let me explain what's going on...
and toward the end he just said hesitantly ok fine if you want us to come but we charge $100 an hour.

The 24-hour emergency service that is offered is the biggest bonus to going with Discount Electric. They cut right to the source of our electrical problem. It was apparently a very common one, but because they have so much experience it was fixed promptly and for a reasonable price. They're very polite and they're billing was straightforward. They also offered a one-year guarantee, which I really liked!

My light in my living room was not turning on at all. I attempted to replace the light bulb and the whole light fixture itself. Luckily I found Discount Electric. They came by and they informed me my electrical got jacked by a rodent! They fixed my light fixture and wiring that day with NO problems. Happy to have found them.
